Yes, just like they did away with laser lights on the LCI versions of the regular 3 series, X5, X6, X7, etc. Why? Likely because lasers offer no functional advantage over matrix LED.

I thought about waiting but the price will go up it is just a case of how much, no more laser headlights, slight change in front bumper and a slight bump in power. That is it really. Maybe they will release a new color also. I really wanted lasers so I ordered a 24. Then I figure if I like the lci I could always get the last year run of the g80 in 27.

I was tempted to cancel and wait for the LCI later this year but I want the laser lights, although I do like the thought of the bump in power so couldn't decide what to do. However the price is likely to increase for the LCI, plus my trade-in value will probably reduce as I put more miles on my G82, so I've decided to keep the order and like you, go for a final run of the G80 in 2027/28 as hopefully they'll do a special edition / final run spec of some kind, before they go hybrid powertrain. |

whats the 20hp going to do for you exactly... do you track the car and ring it out to 7krpm where you actually maybe/might/probably not notice the 20hp?

yep no chance, just trying to articulate how ludicrous it is to wait an extra 1 year for 20bhp top end increase when it weighs 1800kg... There will be no noticable difference in performance

And those full adaptive will have blue colored elements inside the headlights, similar to the laser ones you get today, as far as I know... |

i doubt there’s an actual bump in horsepower it’s probably the accurate horsepower from the start lol.
I’ve got a 22 X drive - i want an LCI but if i do order one i want a fully loaded one and the starting msrps have gone up so much from when i got mine. Mine started at $77k now it’s nearly $85k assuming another $2-3k for LCI without any options 🥺🥺

Having owned a 2015 f80 and now a 2018 f80 zcp…the 2018 is significantly improved over the 2015. Granted that is partially due to the comp package but also suspension tuning/software changes they made over the years. I’ll be waiting for the LCI G80 to order one.

I thought about getting the LCI, then I figured with the interest rates rising and MSRP prices going up every year, it wouldn't make much sense to wait to get the uglier lights and a slight bump in HP.

I ordered a G80 M3CX with Visibility (includes laser lights), Carbon Exterior, Tech Plus, and Comfort packs in Dec last year which was due for delivery Feb 2024. Last month this was pushed back to the end of May 2024. With this date being so close to the LCI, my plan was to cancel and wait the extra 8 - 12 weeks to order the LCI (I quite like the new headlights and idea of the bump in power). However, here is the curve ball, I received a call last week, delivery has changed again, the car is due 2nd week in March. I would like the LCI as I plan to keep this car for the foreseeable future (I've also never had the Lasers so indifferent to them). However, as the current deal I have is very strong, combined with a likely price increase for the LCI, and the dealer support likely being weaker, I'm not sure it is worth the gamble financially at this point to wait. I am leaning back towards keeping the order, and like both of you, maybe going for a last pure ICE hoorah in 27/28 before we go hybrid. Any thoughts?? Finding this a very stressful decision, but thankful to be in a position to be making it! |

You are most likely not going to see the LCI until end of the year and depends on where you fall in the allocation.
I was in a similar situation and wouldn’t have minded waiting. I decide to just pick up the my24 and enjoy it. If LCI is extremely tempting, then I’ll order in 2026 for 2027 model and get on the waitlist early. |

Personally, I'd made the decision to keep the M3CX I had on order and not to wait until the LCI models, as I'm sure they will probably also suffer delivery delays and I doubt you'd see one on your drive much before the end of this year at the earliest. Also, the only thing I really wanted from the LCI was the +20bhp - I was happy with laser lights etc so there aren't really enough changes in the LCI to warrant waiting a considerable time to get one. I can't see them offering the same dealer contributions and discounts as the current, pre-LCI cars so the finances might not be as easy to swallow! |
