Some people prefer Sunroof vs carbon. Makes no difference performance wise and adds functionality. CF adds the coolness factor.

Same for Laser lights - $1k for coolness factor, zero functionality or performance enhancement

The parking package is cool to have with 360 cameras though again…not absolute deal breaker.

In LA area and not paying a markup. Asking for laser lights, parking package, executive, BG Fiona red full, no sunroof black wheels. X drive comp and perhaps carbon package.

Ok, if you want a configurable build, and you can find one, and it's at MSRP, you're not getting a car soon. Go into the ordering forum and read the stickies. But basically your best hope is to get one at 112 status that can still change. This means that it has a build date. If it's still changeable, it's probably 2-4 weeks from production. Then a few days to get to port and anywhere from 1-4 weeks to get on a ship. Then probably 4-6 weeks to get to west coast (I'm third coast so never had to have a ship go through the canal).

So if you need a car soon and you want a configurable build, those two things do not line up.

Maybe his choice of words were wrong but businesses are absolutely doing that these days due to a combination of reasons. Consumer entitlement is at an all time high and limited supply of certain product/service. I just had a very popular and good local fence company tell me he would do business with me because I’ve always been polite and easy to work with. Hotels are now kicking out problem guests in the middle of the night instead of giving in.

Can’t say I disagree.

Look it get it but I was very kind. I expressed my gratitude in helping me. He should’ve just said car is as is if you don’t want it all good.

I’m a serious buyer I literally have 120k set aside in my home ready for this car. Just no markup jokes man and a decent sales person who looks out in my interests is all I ask. Take my f’in money!

Contact one of the guys in this forum - but, you’re likely out 3 months from a build.

Well first I would suggest a bit of forum etiquette. I know you're trying to get something done, but you shouldn't be posting 4 posts in a row with 1 sentence each. If you forgot to say something or have more info to add, edit your post and add it in.

If you find something out and want to chime in, you don't need to make a new thread. Just add in info, you can tag people if you want to get their attention, and we'll chime in to help.

You will definitely be able to find an allocation, but the important part will be waiting for the car itself. Like others mentioned, you're at least 3-4 months out from actually getting the car for delivery.

You can also check your local dealers in a 50 or 100 mile radius by going here and filtering for whatever models you're looking for. Find the one you want, contact the dealer and ask about the VIN. They'll tell you how far along production it is, if it's on a boat yet, what the packages/specs it has are, etc.

If you have any questions about the process you can ask here.

Im gonna just call the dealership tmrw morning and speak to a manager instead of that sales rep even tho I called him a dick, hopefully the manager can understand why. Maybe he can change or check more into what progress the car is in and just add the lights and parking package and thats all I need.

If that fails I guess I'll just call around a bit more and see what I can find. If that fails I'll contact an allocation person on this forum.

It really does feel silly complaining about these things but if I'm shelling out 100k I want no regrets lol.

On the West coast, if you want an M3, your options are:

Used
Find an incoming car that matches your spec
Order. Car and rent something in the meantime

You aren't getting a new build in 2 months

Next Level Auto Brokers maintains a relationship with dealers. He can get you a car quickly for a small fee. The list of cars he has access to is here:

Good luck. And we probably don't have to tell you this, but calling people a dick is probably not going to help you get your car sooner.

I’d recommend just moving on. When a customer calls one of my employees a name it’s game over.

Yo, go PM Day Laborer right away. Hans hooked me up with a dealer at MSRP for a live allocation, and mine delivered in 10 weeks! Certain options will be restricted from fast delivery (individual options, CF buckets and exterior trim, and full white interior) but all other items sail through the system.

It sounds like the other dealer just “has you in line” to buy an allocation they’ve already locked in. If they didn’t take a deposit from you and give a production number then they’re blowing smoke up your wazoo.
