There is only a wagon RS6 correct?

No idea - they said there are only a few new RS6's avail in the country now because of a recall. I didn't ask what it was.

I’ll disagree with you on the interior, I don’t think it sucks at all, the lack of color choices is it’s biggest achilles heel. Also you don’t have an option for a leather console like the G8X Full Leather option.

I’ll completely agree with you on the price. They’re too expensive, period.

This close to the B10 platform, this car is dead man walking. If you’re interested in an Audi it would be a waste of money to go with this car.

Owned several Audis since 2013. The A5 was gorgeous and loved the seats, the SQ5 supercharger ruined me for all other SUVs. Looked at 2022 RS5, but as I told the salesman, "does this come with a pillow or chamomile tea...because I feel asleep from boredom."
Agree! The current RS5 is dated for sure and IMO, is no more than a fancy S5 on Claritin. Long gone is the premium that used to be the B8 (I had a 2015 RS5 in Sepang Blue with gray leather & black optic (shadowline) with that wonderful 4 2 n/a V8! Car Wow had some great drag races videos vs G8x. *crickets!

Before I got the m4, I went to the audi dealership in dtla. They had a vivid orange rs5, 20k over msrp which was over 90k if I remember correctly. Got the m4 for 30k less. They are out of their minds with the pricing for the rs5. Pics attached
They also had a used audi e tron gt rs. Gorgeous car

The Tesla owners feel the same for BMW owners.

Remember, Audi lovers will love Audi no matter what. Just like BMW lovers will opt for BMW over Teslas 👍

RS5 is a snooze fest.
i found the B8.5 S4 more engaging to drive than the M340i.

i think the DSG + no turbo (supercharged) meant it was essentially a manual car.

The M340i, if not in Sport Plus is very lazy, undramatic, comfortable, has terrible ASD (sounds like a drone) - coded the ASD off and it became completely quiet, only road noise!

the B&O sound system is better than the Harman Kardon - though when the car is moving i can't hear anything but tire noise so it's moot.

But when in Sport PLus yeah the M340i turns into an animal possessed, far more than the Audi can give.

Had a B8.5 DSG with AWE and IE stage 1 tune and it was a blast.

Sounded like a Wookie too. Don't think my M3 will sound as good

Tesla on order. With the new BMWs having no buttons I thought heh why pay for a fake Tesla when i can order a real Tesla, so I did.

Let's see how it goes ...

Just sold my Tesla, and spent time in dealership's i8 showroom car (think it was their big SUV that I thought was a Chevrolet Trailblazer). In my opinion the big curved screen is hideous and cheap looking. Especially walking up to the car and seeing it from behind. If I was in the market for an M3/4, and my only option was i8, I'd pass.

Love my B8 wagon and will be buying an RS6, or an RS4 (if Audi brings them to the US). I was actually thinking about an RS3 but I think Audi have priced them too high to buy one over an M3 which is what I bought in the end

Have always like the TTRS. It was actually on my short list, along with a ZL1, but went M4C. The black leather with red stitching is fantastic, but the rest of the interior is only nice, not spectacular. And I much prefer the separate screen for infotainment on the BMW. Same engine as the RS3 and of course Quattro. Good performer, good style.

My cousin bought an RS5 early last year for over $90k. He can't get a dollar over $60k for it now.

I don't know if this is a true statement or not. But I branched out to Audi and Tesla 18 months ago, and I couldn't stand either of them after a year. Back to BMW for both trade ins.

Audi in my experience was just a finer version of a very basic car, like a VW with nicer materials and more power.

Tesla in my experience was an appliance on wheels. Very good performance, no emotional connection.

My $0.02.

Same, Audis are very nice cars (in a lot of ways I feel like they are "nicer" than BMWs), and the interiors are really nice places to be, but they just don't feel as special for some reason.

No Audi dealerships in Phoenix have new RS5's so I test drove a '20 with 20k miles.

Not sure if there have been major updates for '22 but I have never been less inspired in my life. I know it's becoming a dated platform but the car is noticeably slower, feels heavier than my M4 for some reason, and the interior just sucks (except for the quilted leather seats which are really nice)

I'm not trying to trash this car but I really have no idea how they sell at the price point they are which is actually above the G8X. The car just did not feel special in anyway.

Sorry if I offended you, just sharing a personal experience if anyone else is looking for a change.
I'm so offended , I'm gonna sue. Prepare yourself

I rented one last weekend, a 2021 RS5. It is absolutely gorgeous, outside and inside. It was in Metallic Green. I got many looks, random people asking questions about it in the parking lot, etc. as for the actual driving experience: steering felt very soft, too buttery, even in RS mode. You couldn't hear the exhaust from the inside. Now that's a testament to the sound deadening in the cabin but in a sports sedan, you WANT to hear the engine.

As a result, the driving experience lacked emotion. Even in the curvy roads down to Stinson beach, it just felt kinda soulless, if that makes sense.

I haven't even driven a G80 yet so hoping it's going to be way better.

Only one way to go and that's Porsche lol. Was lucky enough to find one without ADM.

Stinson beach as in the one in north bay CA? I love driving the curvy roads in the Santa Cruz mountains. I definitely gotta look at some of the roads there.

Yup! It's got some great roads and scenery. Only downside is it gets pretty congested on some weekends.

That was my experience with my 1-year ownership of a B9.5 S5 (I didn't get the RS5 because I didn't feel like the differences were worth the higher price tag)- I enjoyed sitting in it and looking at it more than I did driving it.

My G82 is sharper, tighter and louder in every way. It did take me about 2 weeks to acclimate- I thought the car was super twitchy and much too aggressive when I first picked it up, but now I'm used to it and the sharpness is just right (This is why a simple test drive won't do for these cars, as I thought the S5 was nearly perfect when I test drove it). The quattro on the Audi is amazing in bad weather though- sticks to the pavement like pigeon guano to car bonnet.

"Soulless" is a common adjective used for Audi by many folks who've sampled the different offerings. The 5-pot in TTRS and RS3 are amazing though, I still miss having that engine in my life but both cars are a bit too small for my liking.
