No idea - they said there are only a few new RS6's avail in the country now because of a recall. I didn't ask what it was.

Before I got the m4, I went to the audi dealership in dtla. They had a vivid orange rs5, 20k over msrp which was over 90k if I remember correctly. Got the m4 for 30k less. They are out of their minds with the pricing for the rs5. Pics attached
They also had a used audi e tron gt rs. Gorgeous car |

The Tesla owners feel the same for BMW owners.
Remember, Audi lovers will love Audi no matter what. Just like BMW lovers will opt for BMW over Teslas 👍

i think the DSG + no turbo (supercharged) meant it was essentially a manual car. The M340i, if not in Sport Plus is very lazy, undramatic, comfortable, has terrible ASD (sounds like a drone) - coded the ASD off and it became completely quiet, only road noise! the B&O sound system is better than the Harman Kardon - though when the car is moving i can't hear anything but tire noise so it's moot. But when in Sport PLus yeah the M340i turns into an animal possessed, far more than the Audi can give. |

Just sold my Tesla, and spent time in dealership's i8 showroom car (think it was their big SUV that I thought was a Chevrolet Trailblazer). In my opinion the big curved screen is hideous and cheap looking. Especially walking up to the car and seeing it from behind. If I was in the market for an M3/4, and my only option was i8, I'd pass.

Love my B8 wagon and will be buying an RS6, or an RS4 (if Audi brings them to the US). I was actually thinking about an RS3 but I think Audi have priced them too high to buy one over an M3 which is what I bought in the end

Have always like the TTRS. It was actually on my short list, along with a ZL1, but went M4C. The black leather with red stitching is fantastic, but the rest of the interior is only nice, not spectacular. And I much prefer the separate screen for infotainment on the BMW. Same engine as the RS3 and of course Quattro. Good performer, good style.

My cousin bought an RS5 early last year for over $90k. He can't get a dollar over $60k for it now.

Audi in my experience was just a finer version of a very basic car, like a VW with nicer materials and more power. Tesla in my experience was an appliance on wheels. Very good performance, no emotional connection. My $0.02. |

I rented one last weekend, a 2021 RS5. It is absolutely gorgeous, outside and inside. It was in Metallic Green. I got many looks, random people asking questions about it in the parking lot, etc. as for the actual driving experience: steering felt very soft, too buttery, even in RS mode. You couldn't hear the exhaust from the inside. Now that's a testament to the sound deadening in the cabin but in a sports sedan, you WANT to hear the engine.
As a result, the driving experience lacked emotion. Even in the curvy roads down to Stinson beach, it just felt kinda soulless, if that makes sense. I haven't even driven a G80 yet so hoping it's going to be way better. |

My G82 is sharper, tighter and louder in every way. It did take me about 2 weeks to acclimate- I thought the car was super twitchy and much too aggressive when I first picked it up, but now I'm used to it and the sharpness is just right (This is why a simple test drive won't do for these cars, as I thought the S5 was nearly perfect when I test drove it). The quattro on the Audi is amazing in bad weather though- sticks to the pavement like pigeon guano to car bonnet. "Soulless" is a common adjective used for Audi by many folks who've sampled the different offerings. The 5-pot in TTRS and RS3 are amazing though, I still miss having that engine in my life but both cars are a bit too small for my liking. |
