Wow, I was just watching the new video of the testing mule at the Nordschleife a few minutes ago and I was thinking "hmm, it actually might look really good".
But this really disappoints me to be honest. It looks kinda cheap and too boy racerish, just as mkoesel said like a G20 with tacky mods. And I pray to God that they'll offer more wheel options other than damn black wheels again and again, which makes every car look uglier (IMHO of course). But the good thing is that we seem closer and closer to the final product. Last edited by Art__Vandelay; 10-21-2019 at 02:45 PM.. |

Yikes. Looks like more reason to keep my F80.

I don't necessarily hate it, but few things that stuck out to me.
1. That plastic line on the diffuser looks super cheap. 2. Perhaps the angle of the fender flare in relation to the wheel is misleading, but looks like it needs about 25mm of spacer here. 3. The lack of carbon fiber roof could definitely be because this one is specced with a moonroof. |

We can fix the rear diffuser. Now show me the front!
That's gonna be a lot harder to put a band-aid on. |

Diffuser looks unfinished, that does not appear to be the same color as the body paint. Looks more like an unpainted plastic? Maybe a placeholder for the mold but not direct from the supplier yet?

Doesn't it look like there are side skirts in matte black? The same material as the black part of the diffuser that goes towards the rear wheels?

that bottom part of the diffuser, the silver lining, reminds me of my friends civic type r which is total boy racer..
not for nothing but, I think the F80 was the best looking sedan and I'm obviously partial, this model has me highly considering a lease buyout vs jumping into this g generation head first.. maybe the LCI will look better.

I'm sure the production diffuser will look better. But, the front end here is the real mystery. The rear end doesn't surprise me.

I'm not feeling that diffuser, but I guess they're addressing many of the concerns the aftermarket has done--namely, hiding the muffler.

Remember when all the E90 guys came into the F80 leak threads, "looks like I'm keeping my E90," and then ended up buying one? Looks like it's happening again. It'll grow on you.
