Very nice, I love the pearl and flake in the paint.

As a Dravit owner I agree on the “If Dravit were blue” comment

Tearing up the interstate in this animal is the absolute dream. I don’t track it and don’t intend to. I can’t imagine how ballistic the Competitions are. The 6 speed is fast enough.

The color, Macao Blue Metallic, really messes with your mind. In direct sun light it leans purple except at the most direct sun lit part, where it looks more of a lighter shade of blue. On overcast days it looks more deeper blue than purple…more towards the tanzanite side or some kind of navy. Other times it can look black or dark gray. It’s super dynamic and I love it. There is nothing like it on the road and I get compliments all the time.

I had the car full PPF’d and tinted right after delivery at Speed and Tech in Sterling, VA and that was a great experience. I’ll go back there for any further mods that they are able to perform. RJ is a straight shooter and is super super responsive and thorough.

I installed wheel spacers on my own. I put Future Classic 15mm in the front and 12mm in the back. I may move the 15mm to the back and grab some 18mm for the front for a more aggressive stance. I had also swapped out the P-Zeros for Michelin PS All Seasons before the spacer install. No rubbing at all with those. I also put on the floating [...]
Beautiful color! Good taste dude! And a good thing you PPF’d the car. Im assuming you went with either STEK or Xpel?

Thanks! I used a Canon 5D Mark II. Some were with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM and some were with a Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM. Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for editing.

Very nice color! I considered speccing it but I had seen pics of a car with it and either the bumpers didn't line up or the contrast was super high because the paint looked much darker on the bumpers. Yours doesn't have that.

Nice! That is what I shoot with as well. Ive been thinking about finally upgrading to mirrorless, but the 5D still works great. The 70-200 takes some great shots. I have the 24-70 2.8L and plan to shoot my car when it arrives next month.

The owner is a buddy of mine who so graciously let me drive it… it was my first g8x experience and let me say, the dynamics and characteristics of this car is one of a kind. Tame when you want it but ready to eat pavement at any moment.

This car is the complete package of ultimate in comfort but at the press of a button a track weapon emerges. It was like the dodge viper show in the 90s. This car is so plush and comfortable but press m1 and everything stiffens up and the car morphs.

The tech is not quite Tesla level thank god, as these are bmw engineers, not software geeks. The screen is impossibly large but intuitive. I found myself still very focused on the road amidst a mini Jumbotron in front of me.

The sounds and feedback (although engineered), is all there and works well together. The car feels and drives much smaller than it is.

All the front end design complaints go out the window in person. It is flat out a nice car to look at, especially in this shade of: blue, grey, purple, black? Hearkening back to the original e30 evo 2, complete with silverstone interior. It’s discreet yet still somehow flashy presence adds to the cars versatility. I’m currently dailying an e90 m3 and the weekend car is a 997.2 c4s both manual. It really made me consider swapping out both for a single car that can do it all.

I have to tell the world here something he left out.. his wonderful wife made the color decision and boy did she choose right.. and so did he!

Damn nice car! “Very violent but yet precise . Tearing up the interstate is an absolute dream “.

Made me think of my 2018 M3 CS. Except I changed a bit . “Extremely violent yet not that precise. Especially if she breaks loose. And yes, there is something about M cars on the interstate. Autobahn monsters. They just never quit pulling.
