Tux mats look great! I received a gift card for WeatherTec so went that route for the front/rear seats. For the cargo area I went with this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BCC9984M...roduct_details
It got good reviews on the iX forum and it is flexible enough to roll out of the way to allow access under. The fit is perfect. |

FYI - I chatted with Tuxmat about the cargo mat ETA, and they said:
"The iX trunk mats have recently been redeveloped to offer higher coverage along the backs of the rear seats. They've been completed and we're now waiting for them to arrive in our warehouse. Unfortunately, we don't have an ETA yet." I already installed the floor mats in 1st and 2nd row, so I'll check back in a few weeks. I don't plan to haul anything that might get it dirty anyway. |

Bottomline: don't look for cheap options, BMW original mats are simply better than others especially in winter. I drove Mercedes as well, they have winter OEM mats made from kind of grosgrain or similar stuff, they're top |

I got the Elegant Carpet mats from maxpider. I’m very happy with them. I have them in 3 cars now. I like them better than the rubbery or plastic ones that seem best for dealing with mud and snow. The maxpider ones are very nice.

WeatherTech > TuxMats for me. I don’t like that TuxMats does not provide 100% coverage in the front. Not a fan of the clip system. Looks like liquids can get through.

Looking over this thread just curious if the front mats not being one piece make it easier to remove the tuxmat compared with weather tech which is one piece. I’ve always been partial to weather tech for their durability, easy cleaning and great ability to prevent anything from coming out of them while removing. Seeing the new iX mats from weather tech at least in the front gives me a bit of pause. How do you find removing the mats in the front and does it keep all the junk inside well? Those who have had both westhertech and these, what makes you like one or the other?
I’m currently living with my old X5 mats all around from weather tech but the rear don’t offer full coverage and the passenger front flat out doesn’t fit well so looking to get something that makes sense. |

I've used both - not in the iX (WeatherTech), but I've used WeatherTech in many other cars, BMW and not. They make excellent mats, but of late I've noticed they're thinner, harder plastic, and less adaptable to the floors. The TuxMats are ballistic nylon, lighter, and actually clip under the plastic trim, so adapt closer and stay in place better, and provide better coverage. The down side is they're harder to remove, but I found that they generally only need a wipe-down with a damp sponge and an in-place spray with this:
Or your choice of mat protector, but the WeatherTech spray leaves a matte, non-slip finish and is excellent for any rubber/vinyl/nylon mats. |

Thanks for all the great input. In the end we selected the TuxMats. Definitely not iMO a quality issue (both are super), just a preference for the TuxMats for several reasons including “looks” (less “industrial ioo), and in our family we find we remove to clean the driver’s mat about three times as often as the passenger one, i.e., with the TuxMat being split, that was one smaller consideration. Again both are high quality and should last and last and look good right until the end. Also had MaxPider onesbefore and they were also excellent quality and lasted for many years.
Down the road I will inquire here as to whether anyone has a Tux coupon and of course will once we get ours, will offer our coupon to another member either way. Thanks all. |

As a follow-up to maintenance, I've had the TuxMats installed now for about 6 months. Never removed, and here just about a 2 minute wipedown and spray with protectant (with admittedly Summer dirt). Pretty easy to keep up so far....

For anyone who's waiting for the trunk mats, I've just received the following response from them:
"Thank you for reaching out. Unfortuantely, we still don't have an ETA for the iX SuperTrunk mats yet. We hope to have one within the next couple of weeks." Not sure what's taking them so long, given they supposedly produced them a while ago. But looks like we're getting closer. |

When I spoke to support, they said one referral coupon per order, plus any amount of returning customer coupons. So, you can do one of 2 things:
1) Find somebody who has orders that didn't refer others yet. I'm happy to donate my here as soon as I can buy the trunk mat. I already used my 1 referral. 2) Find somebody local who has bought from them before. Ask that person to order what you need to their address. I'd be happy to help if you were on a different coast! Not sure why they make it so complicated, but not much we can do about that. |

Got my mats this week and have to say from a coverage standpoint these things are great. They’re a little unwieldy to take out so can imagine in winter after ski or summer after beach something will inevitably end up inside. Otherwise very nice. Question though- did everyone use the clips to clip these to the sides? I find the fit to be good enough but maybe as seasons change and they stiffen or loosen that will change?
