PSI or Evolution Racewerks midpipes are our choices, perfect fitment and sound great - no gimmicks and both great companies to work with. Both midpipes are manufactured here in the US. You might not see them mentioned as much as other brands, as they sell themselves just off the sound alone.
We see both the ordering process and installation, since we actually install what we sell. 100% painless with either brand. PSI G8x midpipe Evolution Racewerks G8X Midpipe Coupled with an exhaust valve controller like the Awron CanFlap - you get the best of both worlds.

I’ve had the TFL midpipe and now a super sprint J pipe. Very different tones. The TFL which is two pipes has a higher pitched and slightly raspy. The single from super sprint has a deeper throaty sound. It’s a night/day difference. Neither are bad it’s just what you prefer.

I wanted the MAD single midpipe but it wasn't available in time before I started driving the car for the season so I ordered and installed the Dinan D600-0094 High Flow Middle Exhaust - 2021-2024 BMW M3/M4 . It's an X pipe made from 3 inch diameter pipe
I kept the secondary CATS but I thought if the car wasn't loud enough I could always remove the cats by using secondary CAT removal pipes. Turns out I am I am quite happy with the sound. Much louder than stock but not obnoxious.and a nice deep sound which I attribute to the 3 inch diameter pipe. My garage door is about 100 feet from the house and on the opposite side of the garage facing away from the house. With the factory exhaust and with all the house windows closed and the garage door opened my wife couldn't hear the car when it was running. With the Dinan midpipe she said she cannot miss hearing it. I don't hear any rasp which was one of my main concerns. |

Hey Folks,
When it comes to mid pipes, there are a bunch of great options on the market. But if you are truly looking for the best sound experience, this is it. We have designed our single mid pipe with an Equal Length configuration in to deliver the deep and aggressive, sound down low that everyone loves and communicate a high frequency high-pitched experience that helps the rather flat sounding at S68 have a more exotic sound characteristic up in the higher RPMs. Is it the cheapest system on the market? Not at all. But it is in stock and you do get what we believe is a much more pure and engaging sound profile than the other mid pipes on the market. Nothing wrong with going with a cheaper set up but if your goal is sound quality and there's no other option. If you just wanted it loud, then there are probably cheaper options on the market that might fit better for you. But for those who want the best sound, this is it!! |

I actually just used a stock x pipe from my muffler shop, anything else is a waste of money unless it removes secondary cats

that's what's great about upgrades; we all have our own preferences, and there are options for all of us.

I can’t say which is best because I have only had one. I have the MAD midpipe and coupled with the SST valve controller it is fantastic. Very happy with the set up.
I go on weekly group drives with a nice mix of sports cars (P cars, Z06’s many others) and many of them have commented on how much they like the sound of the car. I could not find any performance benefit to going with the dual, X-pipe, equal length so I went for the minimal weight savings (may sound silly to some) of a single. These cars are not light so I am trying to save weight where I can. CCB’s, Carbon Buckets, etc… Just my 2 cents |
