I would get under the car and measure the distance between the 2 lift point pads. I don't remember the exact numbers but I think the spread between the pads was 68" and to the outside edges was 76". So center to center was 73". So the 6000 ELX would make that reach with its max reach of 76". However, when the jack is flat on the ground it will be much longer. Maybe too long to fit between the tires. Again, these numbers are off the top of my head and may not be exact. You need to measure the distances yourself to see what will work. The 5000s work for me with the 1x3 square bars.

I wish I had thought of that before I sold my 5000SLX. Would have been worth a try.

The frame length of the 6000 is 86" which should fit just fine between the front and rear wheels, but I'd have to go and measure again to confirm.

Any photos of your setup? How long are the steel 1x3 bars you are using?

Jacking points

Has anyone run across a pic of the bottom of the car, like this one of the E46? This shows the jacking points.

I use jackpoint jackstands. you use the hat or top to lift the car with a floor jack and then slide the stand around and lower the hat onto the stand. I have had them for years.

I've seen those. They are a nice option. Gives you access from the side too.

I have a QuickJack and wish they made an aluminum version. My age must be catching up to me. There are rollers on them but getting them on and off the wall hanger is taxing.

I've developed a system on how to jack up the car on all 4 wheels. You'll need a puck that's compatible with BMW, 4 jack stands, and a jack.

Step 1: Lift up the car from the front jack point on either side of the car and lift it high enough where you can place a jack stand on the rear jack point.

Step 2: Repeat above step for the other side of the car. At this point both rear tires should be on jack stands.

Step 3: To lift the front tires, underneath the car in front center there is a jack point (circled in red in the pic below) which would lift both front tires up, lift it high enough where you can place jack stands on either side.  Now your car should be on all 4 jack stands.

Note: If your jack is not a low profile jack then you'll need to put 2x4s under your front tire to give it a lift so you can slide the jack underneath.

If you have the crescent style jack stands you'll need an adapter to convert them to the BMW style. I bought those off ebay.

Do you have RWD? I don’t have a G80 but people with Mxdrive should double check to see if that front center jack point is actually an acceptable jack point in the Mxdrive version.

The F10 M5 being rwd had the front center jack point, but with the F90 going awd this point does not exist. I read of someone damaging their car trying to lift there in the f90. So just a heads up for those with AWD G80s to check to make sure.

I have these as well, they're awesome. On some cars, those center jacking points on the front or rear (e.g. diff cover) are a bit too risky to use.

These are a great idea! Did you get the BMW adapters or are you using one of the standard plates?

Are these jackstands high enough to work on the car underneath (ex. replacing exhaust) or used mainly for removing wheels?

I have used them for front bumper removal, brake job, and wheel cleaning. One could use it for an oil change maybe or exhaust exchange if used in pairs and not all four. Here is the link that describes it.

I've replaced the DCT pan on an E92 after putting the car up on all four stands. I used the BMW adapter for a couple of extra inches. Should be easy enough to replace exhaust on these.

But if you're not getting a great deal on them (I did), I'd spend a bit extra and go the Quickjack route.

I think it's a brilliant product, but I don't think I can swallow $300+ price tag for a pair of jack stands.
How did you get a deal on them?
I agree the Quickjack would be better for slightly more.
