I was week 2 (finished production Jan 12) but I lucked out and my car shipped out Jan 23 on the Porgy. My car should be off the ship as of today, waiting to be sent via rail from Halifax to the west coast. Getting close!

As most of you know, many of us have 99% completed cars that are sitting either at a VPC or in QC at the Factory... I was contacted by BMW today about a tweet I posted wondering why - The Rep & her Supervisor said the cars being delivered from the early weeks of 2022 were a different spec than mine: M4CX - Nothing special - No CF Seats, no Park Assist, no MDrive Pro.

Here's where the request comes in - BMW NA asked for some VIN #'s of Week 1 & 2 of 2022 Builds so they could check on why they were produced and on the way while the VPC & QC vehicles are sitting.

Would some of you please be kind enough to post your VIN or PM me the VIN so I can send it to this Supervisor so she can look into why they were shipped prior to those stuck @ VPC's or in QC - Thanks in advance!

LOL. Why on earth is BMW having you do this? Shouldn't they have a list of VINs that have been delivered or flew past QC or VPC?

The audacity on them to ask you to gather this information. BMW keeps dropping the ball, one by one

I would think they would have the ability to analyze their own database 25 ways from Sunday. Why would they need VINs? Mind sharing the tweet exchange? I'd love to see that interaction.

Something stinks. And in all reality nothing will speed up delivery. Just gotta be patient.

Sitting at port since Jan 13 does suck. But I am grateful the car is actually built. I've asked my SA last Thursday about when it would get to NYC/NJ area and he said he doesn't know, my guess is as good as his lol.

So yup this is our lovely experience.

Just spoke with genius, no vessel assignment and they did confirm it is now showing the stop sale for the ram. So likely one of the next two coming in another week, then we'll see what nyc vpc does. The dealer can hold winter tire set for next year at this point

Oh that's right I wouldn't need to add that right now. Ha thanks for reminding me. I'll get the winter set up in Nov.

Convinced they have no more info then we do on the my garage page and depending who you get come up with a creative answer to get you off the phone

Totally agree. When I was trying to determine what actually day a week build began I got conflicting answers from them.

Would make sense why Tortuga has been sitting at port for a week and its schedule got extended by 11 days
