Working with a broker - he will send car directly to me in Bama. But I’ve been calling genius and they’re giving me the updates.

My SA was out of the office today when he checked yesterday afternoon he said "was still estimated shipping from VPC today" so either it came in today or I get to find out tomorrow around 11 am!

Yes, agreed it is disappointing news to receive. For me, it is just the hassle of adjusting my work and personal schedule...but your situation seems more disruptive.

I called BMW Genius this evening and when the agent checked, she said that there were no issues (i.e. recall, stop sale, damage from shipping, etc.) holding up delivery.

She also shared that VPC issues a "work order" for items such as checking software--which sounded like a checklist--before releasing the car. She noted that it was initiated at 11:00 am and scheduled for completion today, but it was not completed as of 4:30pm. I get it...it's a busy place and they have a backlog--it is, what it is.

Her final comment was hilarious: she said I could call back tomorrow for an update. I laughed and said that's alright, hopefully the car will arrive by next week. She also shared that some people call back quite often--I don't remember if she said daily or a few times a day! In any case, that's my update for now.

I was kind of on your boat. I still have never seen Dravit on an M3 in real life so I am sure hoping I love it.

I ordered it anyways bc the photos of the car in sunlight were just too awesome
