I'm ready to pull the trigger on a '25, but wanted to look at Skyscraper Grey and Aventurin Red in person - anyone in DC/MD area have one?

Tried to do business (since 2019) with Sterling 3 times, all 3 times I was a no-go. 1) Tried to buy a car in 2019 -- cared less to return my emails/phone call; 3) tried to sell them a Maserati Levante and they offered me peanuts, 3) Tried to buy an used 2022 BMW X5M and they offered me peanuts for a low mileage 2019 BMW X3 M40i(which I had purchased in Fairfax bc of #1 above. Fairfax is my go to place for sales and service....Sterling has a solid service dept tho.

Anyone have experience with an aftermarket midpipe with BMW of Sterling service? I took my car in today for break-in and asked the service advisor I was working with how they feel about midpipes - he essentially didn't recommend it and said they can cause problems and can void the warranty.

I didn't get much farther with him about the topic as it was clear what his thoughts were, but curious what others experience is with Sterling and mods.

Others can chime in, but I do not think any dealer in the DMV is mods friendly to begin with. The Service Advisor gave you what I would consider be the standard response from a "we are not liable" point of view.

I don't know of any either. Most dealers are a-holes when it comes to mods.

I just put in an order and deposit for a MY25 G80 CxD at BMW Catonsville. Same owner as Silver Spring. My sales rep told me he'll let me know about allocation start of next month, but I shouldn't have to wait more than 2 months to get a production number.

Anyone with feelings/thoughts about this dealership?

I haven’t bought from Catonsville but have bought 3 BMWs from Silver Spring and Mileone has been absolutely fantastic for me.

So I imagine if the ownership is similar then hopefully you’ll have a good experience.

Great to hear. My price breakdown agreement states MileOne Auto Group.

Anyone have XP buying from BMW of Sterling? Put a deposit down for a 2025 M3 1 week ago, and was told I'm first in line for a September allocation.

They seem to be quite large with a great service center.

When I called to inquire about an allocation they auto-matched me with a sales rep/CA, which I thought was weird - but she's been great.

I went in a couple of days ago to put in an order for a 2025 and there were 4 people in front of me.

Did you get an allocation?

Sterling is hit or miss but it should be better now that the GM is gone, Julius. He was kinda a dick.

Didn't get one yet... What's the story behind Julius?

I ordered my M4 from them in July (W35 allocation). Haven't had any issues.

He was difficult, not well liked. I've heard a lot of complaints from neighbors and others in the BMW community in NOVA.

FWIW, I ordered a M3 Comp xDrive towards the end of August at Sterling and got an allocation about a week after I put my deposit down.

My car has a late October production date, so I’m really surprised they claimed they’d be able to give you a September built car.

No no, on August 24th I put a deposit down and was told I'd be first in line for a November build (so allocations that should in theory be populating/received by them in September - this week)
