Is there no way to reprogram the valve button in the center console area to be some of the same presets? Say making A the same as open and C the same as the old closed? So that's now just a dead button?

That button still works, but you cannot program it to do what the controller does unfortunately.

Just got mine from Mike at XPH, thanks Mike! Install took about 30-40 minutes, very simple and straightforward. I have a single midpipe and It definitely gets much louder with the valve fully open compared to the OEM settings. This is what I was looking for, as the OEM setting in sport+ still sounded muffled. Having trouble pairing to the home link though, as It says it’s paired but won’t actually open/close them. Will try again today after work as I see other members have paired theirs successfully.

Watch the video from the digital owners manual, I had to reprogram one of mine because it didn't work the first time.

Got mine from Mike also at XHP and decided to do a bit of a volume test before and after. I downloaded to my iPhone a free decibel meter (dB Meter) and on a cold start up it hit 93 dB’s. Got the SST in place and secured and started the car again. Flipped through the remote and made sure things worked (which they did brilliantly) and so after being in A I shut it off to cool completely. After a good 45 minutes, with the same phone in the same location (3 feet behind the car centered off the drivers pipes) I started the car up again. This time it maxed out at 104 dB in what I would consider matching orders of events. I can’t say anything about revs or what 5000 rpm’s sounds like but from a cold start, in a garage with no other changes but the SST, it was good for 11 dB. FYI, at this point the only “performance” mods done are BMC drop in filters.

I am hoping someone can answer this. I was planning on getting SST and setting the start up mode to “always closed”. If I turn my car off with valves open, and the next use is a remote start, will it close the valves when remote started?

Just hit the remote to close the valves before you start it up?
It’s just going to stay in whatever position you left it in before turning the car off unless you change it with the fob.

I don’t want to have to remember to hit the close button every time before shutting the car off. I just want it to default to starting closed (the entire point of having valves).

Then you just need to leave it in the auto setting (aka just let the car handle the valves)
There is no customizing what the valves do outside of open, closed, let the car handle the valves like from factory.

It says you can set the memory setting to start how you’d like. I’d like it to start closed. I’m just wondering if it’s turned off in open mode, if it’ll go back to the start setting (closed) during remote start or if it’ll stay in the last setting until you hit the power button.

Yeah I was just wondering if it worked with remote start the same since it’s technically not “keyed on” or if it was stuck in the last setting till you click the power button.

Ahh gotcha. I would assume it would work like it was keyed on but I dont know for sure. I have the SST controller but I dont have the car yet, currently on its way across the Atlantic haha

If you use the remote to set the memory mode to OEM control (button C), as per the instructions in the install guide, the valves go back to ECU control (car control) every time the car shuts off, and since your car turns off all M modes/goes back to all comfort when the car shuts off, that's the valves being closed on startup. It works this way no matter how the car is started.

I have it programmed this way with no issues.
