Spoke to my CA about getting the whole car PPF’d at the dealership upon delivery and pride matched the quote I got from a local shop ^_^

Ask and verify with them that they are using a decent installer, I got my x7 done from BMW dealership and it was a bad job

I’ve been “Dispatched from Factory” since 9/18. Anyone else stuck in this phase? I’m wondering if there’s too many cars at the port to unload the trains?
If we’re all pushed out to a November delivery at least let it be after the Fed lowers rates again. We’ll get something for our wait. |

It was 96k which is MSRP. Located in Oklahoma City. Should be at dealership middle of October.
Its fully loaded with Portimao Blue Full Silverstone, Driver, Executive, Parking packages Driver recorder, Carbon interior trim, ventlilated seats, Galvanic controls, and more It’s basically fully loaded except for the It does not have any of the options: outside carbon trim exterior, ceramic breaks or bucket seats. |

Yeah won’t be doing PPF or ceramic and I’ll be in New York.
I don’t care for the imperfections from normal use (German weather is pretty similar to ours), and plus it’s a lease. |

I will also not be doing PPF. I’ll do my own wax/ceramic coat in the driveway. Not looking for perfection, just generally keep it looking good and having the water bead off. I plan to keep this car for a long time and imperfections are inevitable.

Imo PPF is worth if your car is individual paint and you plan on keeping the car forever. If you lease or plan to sell in a couple years, it’s next owner problems, bc you aren’t getting ROI on PPF unless u find the right buyer.
