what lock is good for 120 days? i thought it was 90 day WC, 60 day EC?
This morning I text my CA (been with them for 20 years) and asked about the lock. His response was 120 days. I'm in NY. Dealer in PA.

They changed it last year when production started hitting serous snags, around October/November. 90 days EC/120 days WC.

How would multiple security deposits change this deal?

I understand BMWFS still offers the MSD program and I wanted to see if anyone could help me with this deal in regards to what type of payment I would be looking at after maxing out the MSD's. Thanks in advance. [IMG][/IMG]

Man, that's a tough lease. If you put the same amount (~$14k) on BMW Select and your payment will be close to $1000/month, or put $0 down on Select and it'd still be around $1300/month. Either way, $1500/month for an M3 is a lot.

BMW recently reduced the impact MSDs have on the money factor. In this case, if you put the max MSDs down (Should be $10,500), you'd see a reduction in your monthly payment by about $40 or so. So instead of $1,525 you'd be down to ~$1,485.

Think of it this way.. putting $10,500 in MSDs reduces your money factor from 0.002 to 0.00172 - not a big difference. So essentially you're dropping $10,500 to get an ROI of $1,440 over the life of the lease ($40*36).

Doesn't help that there's no lease support from BMW in the form of lease cash. While the residuals are great, the lack of any incentives makes leasing a tough sell in this market.

Still like a 4.5% return...not bad compared to money market or CDs.

After 15 M cars over the years, this is the kinda rubbish I'm getting from my local dealer:

My last 2 M's have been bought out of state due to their unwillingness to even consider making any deals and that was prior to the current situations we are in. So I can only imagine their stance now , 5K deposits for a spot in a 1-2 year line and marked up MF is a given.

We have leased the last 2 from BMW Cantonsville via David Aviles because of the local dealership nonsense here in SoFL. David quoted me a 3 month lead time on the M3 I spec'ed.

David is pretty no-nonsense. I ordered my 2016 M4 from him (he was in Cali at the time though) and my G82 with him, but through no fault of his, I never took delivery of it. I would order with him again.

Reached out to a local dealer and he told me it'd be a 1 year wait and I'd be behind 47 people in their bank, but the kicker was..

He told me the deposit was non-refundable?!

Is that norm, I've not heard anyone really mentioning that here. Just curious.

i get they want a commitment, and if they told me they could secure an allocation in a timely manner I'd maybe do it.. but I don't plan to move forward simply based on that. I'll put in the work and call other dealers and use other lists here.

TY.

I emailed him back with a few exclamation marks and question marks and asked him if he just fat fingered on his keyboard. Was pretty taken back when he told me originally.
