Is it me or does the grille not look as bad as it did in some of the photos? Being serious Proportionally it looks smaller than those found on Lexuses (Lexi?) and Audis.

Cool vid otherwise.

Car looks like a boat. However, I think it would make a really good daily driver and grocery getter, kid hauler, etc. Just not a weekend sports car. For that purpose, something smaller or nimbler (M2, 911, Cayman, Boxster, etc.)

That photo is old as hell. That was when BMW was hiding the grille.

Can I get a manual with the AWD yet pleeaaaase BMW? Porsche does it, come on. Least you can do for removing it as an option on the 3 series, especially the 340 x-drive.

The rear arches look amazing, much more flared than renders have shown.

Spotted this on Instagram. Exhaust looks good and the note is similar to the F9x for obvious reasons.

Seems very quiet. Maybe this is the Euro version with filter. My F80 Comp is Much louder with more aggressive burbles when revving in Sport + at idle.

Nice! Still think the B58 will sound better just like N55 did IMO

Never in history have they differentiated so far away from the non-M model. Why would they start now?

Because folks have bemoaned for years that the M and non-M models are "too similar". "Can't tell an X3M and X3M40i apart" blah blah. I think that is a direct response to feedback (whether folks like the response or not).

The engine in the car should be what differs the M model, not a disgusting grille.

The probability of a change is extremely low and we will most likely see G8x sharing some variation of the G22 grille, however there's a first time for everything.

Especially in light of the fact that Flasch and Dukec seemed to have thrown out the BMW playbook and the "historical" rules have changed so anything is possible and nothing would surprise me.

Although M brand has been diluted recently, some further differentiation might be necessary. I've learned to never say never. Next couple of months should be interesting

I love how there's literally no pleasing people...

First they complain that the M models look too similar to their regular series counterpart and that people can't differentiate between them by just looking at them.

And now BMW gives them exactly what they wanted, yet this time people are complaining that the M models look too different from the regular series cars? Like, what the actual fuck, guys?
