I can honestly agree. Like while these kinds of builds are awesome and all, this is not in reach or practical for most owners. Likely a lot of the stock car is gutted, seats, and whatever else. Headlight gone, not street legal. It's made to be a drag car, but take this one for autocross, or even a weekend driver? Not really... It might have the same engine and chassis but beyond that, its not really the same car anymore.

... which technically means it's no longer even a 3.0L motor anymore but closer to 3.2L / 3.3L, the car is completely gutted... and has a fully built transmission with DEKA clutches and plates. Here is the exact quote from the website - "From the outside, it still looks recognisably like an M3, but beneath the surface it’s completely purpose-built for going as fast as possible." Again - none of this takes away from how impressive this is... but the amount of money that was spent here and level of modifications that were done almost entirely render this car from actually being a G80... there is a level that you cross where it's just fundamentally no longer the same car.

personal opinion here... but I think the moment you go more than full bolt ons / fueling or larger than stock frame turbos... then it's questionable whether its truly the same car...

i would be surprised if anyone argued that... that's vastly different than the point being made here... there are also 8 second civic's out there that can do this with a fraction of the displacement and cylinders... but one could argue its the same level of modifications where its no longer the same car

He’s got some room in the sixty foot (come down from 1.25 to 1.1s). He’ll likely need at least 500 more horsepower, likely more if he can’t get the sixty down with suspension improvements.
