Sorry to cross post, but I recently installed one of these in my G87 and am loving it along with the canDO+ unit. For anyone considering this it works great and here is my install thread:

So no need for these to be hooked to power? They get power through the original wiring harness?

Correct, it also talks with the cando+ wirelessly.

You can use the two buttons above it to toggle the valves, I made a video above showing that. https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=32004126 you can use majority of the buttons near the shifter to toggle the valves, except the actually exhaust button, its on a different bus that the cando+ isn't connected to.
