Is there anything wrong with the tire or sensor

Recently have been noticing a discrepancy in the tire temp of my rear driver tire. The PSI seems to match the other rear closely but the temp is way off. I reset the TPMS but still have the same issue with the temp. It starts off at the same temp when cold. Any idea ?

💀 my temps are way off, front are usually hotter but front left is like 3-5 degree higher then front right. Rear are like 5-8 degrees lower then the fronts

I have found these TPMS to be the most inaccurate I’ve used. I just set all my pressures using a high quality gauge and got in and every sensor was probably 2 psi lower.

if you garage your car, what are the temps first thing in the morning before any driving?

if you park outside the temps will be wildly different based on which wheel or wheels are in the sun. while driving there may be differing temps between the fronts due to one side of engine being hotter than the other.

that said, a few degrees different is no big deal, its not like they are using research grade temp sensors.

Are you driving in the same path every day? I'm asking because more right turn over left turns can cause different PSI and temp between sides. It happens to me in the track, that I usually use, when there are more right turns than left turns.

If the above is not the case, before checking sensor health, check wheel allignment.

Did you drive with a slight dusting of salt on the road?

Did you not check the TPMS Pro Sensor Pack when you ordered the car?? A must have as it increases HP by 10% too

Being a data nerd, the inaccuracy and inconsistency annoys me but what ya gonna do?

As others have said, the front temps run hotter maybe b/c of the engine heat. The pressure is most accurate after 10 or 15 minutes of driving. Mine are pretty close to what I fill them with, but not always.

Yeah. The temps are the same when I start the car after it’s been in the garage overnight. For some reason the one tire doesn’t seem to get upto temps and is lower than the others.

Yes. Same path. Usually freeway driving and not a huge amount of turns. What’s surprising is that the PSI goes up accurately but the temp doesn’t.

Lol. That’s funny. I didn’t realize it untill
Recently and since my dash is defaulted to the tire pressure screen it seems to be bugging me more. Lol. Might have to change the screen.

And once a year (for me with rotten luck), you watch the sensor and realize you’ve got a flat! At least this year my flat was at home, so that was lucky.

I guess I’m the only one who peeks at the tires on each side of the car as I open the garage door huh? Lol
