Your height isn’t as important as your width is.

If you’re a bigger gal, I’d stick with the comfort seats.

Only get them if you care about others opinions or actually track usage

These seats are big bucks items you need to fit, plus enter & exit without difficulty.

Would suggest anyone interested in these seats to try them out before you buy them.

I have deep buckets in one car but getting in/out works OK because the car has no roof & the roll bars & steering wheel provide good hand holds to lift myself out.

Was not able to comfortably use the buckets in the M4C so went with the stock seats on my order.

IND makes color-matched leather covers for the raised part of the buckets that you scrape the most. Strap that in and you are set, esp for passengers who have no clue how to get in and out of these.

Agree, not for everyone but I'm cool with them. In addition , all leather protected w/ GYEON ceramic. Use the door sill arm/body lift off while getting in n out of vehicle to prevent wear n tear of outer bolster.

How many miles so far? Can you post photos of current condition?

I see the appeal both ways. Went with comfort for my intended use, but the tortufo bucket really is a zen combo.

Very tempted to spec the buckets in an upcoming touring build. I'm 6'2" and change and fluctuate between 200-210 lbs. Wife is a little over 5'2" and petite. Sounds like I will be fine, but will she be comfortable? The power bucket seats have memory, correct? Thanks!

Coming back to report that I’m super happy with the sports. Plenty of support even under spirited driving. 6’4” 240lbs on G80 6MT. Now confident I made the best choice for me personally.

Memory. Yes.

Will she be comfortable? Who knows. She’ll certainly fit but comfort and getting in and out of the seats is a different thing.

Not cheap but check these out and see if they help you decide.
IND Color Matched Bolster Covers

Personally, I loved the buckets, but it’s going to be my DD, and my wife and I decided getting in and out for short trips (especially with older family) would be a daily annoyance. We both loved the experience diriving with them though. Good luck either way!

The IND covers aren’t a bad preventative to outer bolster wear. Considered them myself, but I just can’t stand the look of them on the seats. They can still rub and produce some marks/wear I have read from slipping.

The main way to keep the seats nice is to master your entering and exit. This gets easier as you get used to it.

As far as getting the buckets, to me absolutely a must! They are fairly comfortable once you are in them and look amazing.

It’s something you need to ideally try out in person. They are not for everyone.

I am 40 years old which is different from what I would have picked in my 20's.

I went with Silverstone full leather interior with the basic seats and I love them. A big upgrade over my G20 M340i seats.

If you care more about looks get the carbon. If you care more about comfort try them both out first.

After 7 months (with buckets) love them, they fit me perfectly, they make the car "feel" 1000x more sporty, IMO.

Highly recommend, no regrets from me. If you do chose buckets, be prepared for a couple of days possibly a week of getting used to entry/exit....after a month or so, you never notice the entry/exit...I definitely think the designers had these seats for a year+, the longer you own them, the more they make sense.

Hope that helps anyone on the fence.

My biggest challenge isn't me with buckets. I love them .. great fit and comfortable

But the car does get a valet somewhat frequently. One of them - used to sports car is great - nimble guy. In / out great technique. Others i see struggling to get out when they bring the car over - meaning they struggled to get in.

After this ..I started to throw on a black seat cover for those days. It sits quietly behind the passenger within reach but out of sight.

And the valets have been politely using the cover ..

Not if you value your ass or back.

Is this based on experience or perception?

Everyone has different body styles, needs and tolerances.

I’m 46yo with not a great back, 6’1” 195lbs on a good day.
Drove from Denver to Vegas straight (~10.5 hrs) in a manual G80 with buckets. They were super comfy and supportive.

My bladder needed pit stops earlier than my back and ass needed breaks.

I rode in and drove an example with this option. They look cool and would absolutely be the choice for regular TRACK visits. Daily driving around town, absolutely NOT.
