You all got some beautiful rides here. Being used to drive suv, I forgot how to drive lowered sedans., I cracked my brand new Maxton front lip the other day on my 2025 g80 lol. I think the stock wheels are pretty decent which I never thought on other models, but I’m a bit itching for a change already. My g80 has frozen white paint. What do you guys recommend? I normally stick with black wheels but open for a change.

Can't take credit for this build but I would go for the HRE Vintage 501 in Satin Black. Also, by doing so, my wife may consider divorcing me...

One apparent thing is that the g80/82 are the most modded bmws with stock wheels. Why is that? Appearance? Performance? Also I noticed a lot of you are running the deep dish wheels which were popular in my high school days. Is that a trend now again? I’m asking because I’m new to g80, been driving suvs in the last 10 plus years. Had a midlife crisis moment, bought the car waiting for service to get done at dealership just because but I love it! Still relearning how to cut around the dips and bumps lol.

Thats a good question - I have noticed that some do not upgrade their wheels. Also, another good question around rims with deep dish. It appears as if its making its way back. I think in the end it's a matter of preference - can't really go wrong either way.

Probably the cost of custom wheels and tires is the reason most don’t upgrade.
You can put a lot of carbon goodies, springs and spacers on for less than $6k on up for wheels.

I changed my wheels for two reasons, I didn't care for the 19's on front and black wheels are horrible to maintain. You loom at them and they scratch and it doesn't take long for them to start pitting with white spots. Also I'm tired of black wheels on every car now so I'm going back to polish and silver wheels.

Question. For those who have aftermarket wheels and are keeping your stock wheels - how are you storing them/protecting your stock wheels? Anything outside the ordinary?
