I have both. Did the Mad Trace in my g80 and just got the MAED for my F90 and they def feel far more premium. Both are great though and the click feel similar between the two.

In my optinion, the best magnetic shfiers in the market are the ones offered by Paddle Shifterz in Germany. They feel way more premium than anything else on the market. I think his company name is a giveaway itself. He’s been making shifters for our cars for years. That’s all he did and then go into other parts. Check them out.

My favorites. They have them in both gloss and matte carbon

I got the MAED ones from IND in Titanium. I had IND custom paint the - and to + in fire Red. Looks pretty good and I am happy with them.
I do miss the red rubber grips on the back of the OEM paddles. None of these magnetic options seem to have them. Also, there is not much room between the back of the paddles and the turn stalk/wiper stalks. About a 1 finger gap. Pretty tight... I thought it was going to really piss me off but then I got used to it and its fine now. |

I didn't know that I needed these until I tried some magnetic shifters on my sim rig. I think I need these now.
Does the whole steering wheel need to come off to install these? |

Is there a way to upgrade the OEM paddles to magnetic? I'd like to keep the stock look.
