Still at Oxnard VPC waiting on MP HAS. My SA sent this update from the sales director - interesting about recalls:
Quote:
Port installed accessories take time. They have to order the parts they don't have and then get in line with other cars that have port installed accessories scheduled. They also have a lot of cars with IBS recalls they also have to take care of as well. It's usually an additional 2-3 weeks to get things ordered and installed.
Anyone receive a 10/21 west coast arrival car with port accessories yet?

BMW Genius just said this -- waiting to hear back from my CA. The tracking online still says At the Port.

Our records indicate your BMW was provided to the carrier on 11/08/2024. At this point, it usually arrives at your dealer within a few days. I suggest speaking with your client advisor regarding when they can expect your BMW to arrive and their delivery process.

Delivery day! It's everything I'd hoped for

I brought it directly to the PPF shop so I haven't had a chance to enjoy it yet (within break-in period). The boxes are side skirts, a CSL grill and front lip.

In the lotteries, I drew Pirellis and full drop on MPHAS.

Looks so good!! I did the same thing with PPF. Told them not even to wash it haha

Are the Pirellis the ones we want?

I believe mine is slammed too on MPHAS. I was a little worried but it feels good so far!

Looking good! I also used BMW of Tigard; due in to Port Hueneme on 12/4. Who’s your sales guy? Did you have to ask them to not mount the front license plate holder? Enjoy the ride man!

Sadly Michelins are what we want. The Pirellis drop off pretty quickly (like 7k miles?), especially in rain. There are some threads here about it. I'll probably replace them next year, expecting them to drop off or just trashing them at track days.

That's great to hear about MPHAS. I'm a little worried but glad I can adjust it if needed. TBH that's the only reason I'm getting a front lip, so a bad day will scrape that and not my bumper.

Thanks! Yeah BMW Tigard was pretty good. Steve Cho was my salesperson. He was helpful and responsive. I don't think they'll mount a front license plate holder. They brought it up yesterday and said they could do it at the 1200 mile service. (I won't.) It's still worth confirming. If you're doing PPF/ceramic coat, ask them not to wash it. They left five tiny, tiny swirls and scratches that the PPF person now has to correct. If you're not doing PPF/ceramic coat, it's probably fine. I'm envious that LinxuSx had his dealer not wash his.

Was this something dealer can’t assist with? I am buying mine out of state and driving it back home so want to get this done before I pick car up. Dealer is going to help me coordinate bringing it to a shop to get it done before I pick up the car

The dealer can do PPF. Mine said they wish they had known because they could have arranged it for me.

I chose my own PPF shop (NW Protective Films) because they had a 5.0/5.0 rating with 112 reviews and have wrapped a few G-chassis Ms and some F80s. There are a lot of PPF shops in the area and most would not be my choice (franchises with few reviews and a narrow experience, mostly Teslas, which already have cheap paint quality/tolerances so low-quality PPF wouldn’t be noticeable). So I didn’t ask the dealer. They are powder coating my wheels at a legit shop. Their PPF people are probably legit too.

Week 41er here.
My Tanz Blue M3 is on a truck to my dealer. I didn't get exterior CF, did shadowline trim delete and sunroof, so it's gonna look different in a few places, but I'm getting excited.

Steve Cho is my sales guy too..like that guy. I’m not doing PPF this time around. I wont be tracking my car and won’t be using it for long highway trips either. Maybe see ya around. I’m in Vancouver and would like to see you’re new ride.
Good luck!

How long did it take to get to the dealership after arriving at Port Hueneme? Mine is scheduled to get to PH on 12/4.

Mine took about 3 weeks as well but that's likely because I added the performance suspension port option. I believe other's made it through within a week or so without port options.

I thought they knew the port installed options in the US port?

My car was at the port in Germany for about a week, then the ship arrived on schedule, then 3 weeks for MP HAS, and finally 3 days from Oxnard VPC to Portland (Tigard dealership). They told me the VPC has lower capacity (one lift) for MP HAS/exhaust due to the brake sensor recalls. Hopefully others make it through faster once that backlog clears.
