Still waiting from week 47 build. 91 days at port right now. Both Hamburg and horizon highway start the journey again next week. If I’m not on those ships I’ll most likely be cancelling my order. If it does make it it will be at my dealership mid March. 120 days after it was done with production

Also, what did your dealer do to make this right (if you don't mind sharing)? |

Horizon highway left two days ago but I haven’t seen really any build weeks on that but I was told a week ago I was assigned to Hamburg highway. It was supposed to leave port 3/1 but got there two days late and then spent three days waiting to get into port. It finally is docked as of this afternoon and I talked to my dealership sales manager and said his info is still it should be on Hamburg highway and it leaves port 3/8. Haven’t really discussed that yet with him but seems like a good guy and understanding and has been very helpful. I would be more than happy with the windows being taken care of for me.

Well I thought I would resurrect this thread or folks like me traveling to the Galveston ports. It took me a while to go through this thread, but there were quite a few horror stories, especially a couple years ago about people getting stuck in quality control, or at the port for stupidly, long periods of time (40-100 days)
I know things were chaotic, and ports were backed up especially after Covid. Anyway I got stuck in QC for a month and I don’t know if it’s related with Galveston or not, but I thought I would at least post my updates here just in case other people get screwed over who are going to Galveston. Prod date 8/8 (orig 7/30) Newest Prod date is 9/9 7/29 Production begins (checked in the a.m.) 8/5 Exterior assembly (finally updated at dinner time) 8/6 Paint booth (a.m) 8/7 Entering Assembly line (4pm) 8/7 Assembly in progress (4:30pm) 8/8 Quality check (6am) 9/9 Dispatched from factory (Yes a month in QC) I’ve learned that next time I’m going to do PCD. Much more ships heading to the East Coast and you don’t have to wait as long though I don’t know how long you have to wait to get into the PCD facility. I just got to the port today, the day after receiving the Dispatch from factory message update. For those going to Galveston here are the current shipping times from Bremerhaven.
So for the K-Line it’s 9/25 10/5 10/18 And for Wilhelmsmen 9/18 9/21 10/3 10/10 So seven chances during the next month! |

Hamburg Highway into Galveston
My new M3 is currently en route on the Hamburg Highway and is in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. My local dealership said "BMW's operations at the port are unaffected my the strike". Looking for validation to that comment, I'm excited for it to get to me!

W&W also makes deliveries to Galveston from Bremerhaven. Here's a link to their schedule; looks like there are a couple boats scheduled soon for them.
