Any idea what car this is in my iDrive?
The iDrive on my car is it is amazingly consistent, showing my G80 M3 in the dash with the exception of the tire pressure screen which has some kind of custom 1970s looking car with louvers on the back and oddly similar to the BMW M1.
Any ideas on why they show a different car on the screen?

Pretty pathetic that they couldn’t put a decent representation of G80/82 in there

As mentioned above, it's the M1. It's an "Easter egg" and a subtle nod to the original M car. I think its pretty cool.

The M1 is the absolute pinnacle of hyperfast street cars. Its overdoses of power and handling and responsiveness are suitably tempered by com*fortable accommodation and a civilized ride. If a gentled-down race car can be made this good, then all the other ultracar builders are going about it from the wrong end. Last edited by Vernmeister; 09-22-2024 at 09:04 PM.. |

Off topic but if you're tires are warmed up in that photo
I'd raise the fronts by 2 PSI & If cold which I don't think so at those temps, lower the rear's by 2

I don't suppose there is a resource for this (assuming I have our ever vigilant track testers to thank for tire temp tactics )
