Can someone explain to me how they were so close through and out of the turns when they weight 1200 lbs apart?

Also, because the M4 is RWD, it is struggling to put the power down coming out of the corner relative to the AWD i5, which by it's very nature of being an EV, can have much more sophisticated traction control vs. an ICE car. Finally, the first race he totally f*cked up the first corner, and also forgot to shift correctly. One thing I noted, having driven many EV's and having owned two Model 3's including a Performance, is just how badly BMW handicaps the i5 off the line. There must be MASSIVE amounts of power throttling. Because both times, the RWD M4 actually gets a pretty substantial jump off the line vs. the i5. Which absolutely should not happen. A similar HP, AWD EV should really pull a good gap on the RWD M4 0-30, 0-40 even 0-60 perhaps. BMW is being very conservative with how they are metering power, whereas Tesla lets you just get into it all at once. Last edited by Needsdecaf; 09-20-2024 at 08:23 AM.. |
