Wow. That seller must have been really desperate to let it go for 105K. Market is $10,000 to $15,000 higher and not too many for sale right now…
That is a car made to enjoy, not to flip just a little over a year after purchase. Some people never learn.
Congrats to the buyer. Drive it like you stole it!
You actually did at that price…

Audio upgrade

I know this will be a somewhat controversial or even sacrilegious topic, but has anyone upgraded the amp or limited number of speakers in their CSLs? If so, please share details

I actually went so far as to buy this billet aluminum bracket so I could also use their black titanium bolts as I can't stand looking at the BMW provided screws. I abhor those plastic amazon.com wart of a cover they provide with their license plate frames.

Yes, I'm weird.

Got it smog'ed.

I was told by CA DMV that anytime a vehicle enters CA for the first time, passing SMOG is necessary. But don't anyone rely solely on my experience as it took multiple trips to figure it out. Mine required said SMOG + visual inspection + out of state title in order to get CA plates (2nd owner).

On another topic, at what engine oil temp do y'all let it rip? I baby it until 210 on the indicator, but it sometimes takes over 10 miles driving on the 10 yet I'm still <210 depending on time of day.

But the plastic factory frame was a problem for me. The Rogue Engineering piece threads the bolt to solid metal not plastic so no real risk of overtorquing, ever.

Car Wash day for the CSL

Rarely does it see rain
However, when it does its followed by an intense foam bath.... hehe

3 car shows in 1 day was worth it...150 KM Road trip

Wheels off detail and all!

I checked with bimmertech. The alpha one amp will work. I flip back and forth on getting it. With only 205 watts the stock amp is lame I agree.

I’m assuming the CSL has the same required 1,200mi (give or take) break in service that my f82 had? I thought about calling the dealer but it’s always 50/50 if you get someone that really knows that they are taking about. Figured someone in the forum would provide the most accurate answer.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Yas, are you running into any issues with scoring due to tight clearance between the front brake calipers and the 19" FIR Evos?

I'm wondering if the CSL's factory wheel inner barrel section has more of a gap to account for the bigger ccb calipers.

I know some of the 911 GT3 owners have run into issues with debris getting stuck and scoring their factory wheels.

TIA!

No Issues so far - approx 1,400KM on the setup
No track days etc

I do take the wheels off bi-weekly for a nice deep clean of the barrels and the fender liners/suspension bits.

Do we have any final numbers on how many CSLs were made?

I just replaced the CSL I sold and the new car has the electric carbon bucket seats. I want to replace them with fixed carbon bucket seats. Does anyone know where to buy some fixed carbon bucket seats?
