Lol. So many fights because of the Tesla. They are different cars, for different purposes. If some are mad (and others mad because some are mad) because of a M3P, what about the Model S Plaid?
Anyway, I like these discussions. It's what make us car enthusiasts. We like the cars and talk about them. Btw, I like both brands. Had a Plaid until a month ago, and my daughter drives a new M3P |

I also was in the wait list and got the plaid pretty early, and very expensive. Huge depreciation.

Listened to the latest Smoking Tire podcast yesterday. Matt just got done with running Road and Track's Performance EV of the year test in NY. He didn't want to give away too much, but he was REALLY impressed with the M3P. And this from an AVOWED Tesla / Elon hater. But not an EV hater by any means, he just personally despises Elon and hates Tesla's deceptive practices (and I have to say I don't disagree in the least having owned two).
He mentions that the seats and suspension are light years ahead of where they were in the old M3P. Really enjoyed dialing in the handling via the slider in track mode. And, of course, the excellent visibility, sharp steering and seating position unencumbered by the need to view a driver's gauge pod. He also noted that it was the best built, best materials content Tesla he's driven. I'm waiting for my local showroom to contact me about their performance demo they have coming. Be very interested to drive one having owned one for nearly 2 years. |

Still can’t stand Elon and still surprised at myself for even buying one of his cars…but it just made sense for my situation and I figure there are thousands of actual good employees at the company that my purchase will at least help support. 🤷🏻‍♂️

chicagofan00 glad you’re enjoying it! Tesla really nailed the car this time around. I just wish it had a gauge cluster like the S. One thing Tesla should consider is adaptive regen, as it makes driving an EV more relaxing than constantly moderating the accelerator pedal.

[QUOTE=Bimmerfun82;31097393]We were honorably mentioned. I don’t know why anyone would buy an i4M50 over this. But man alive did they go all out on this thing. Probably the perfect companion to a G80/82 for those days you want to go 2.9s to 60 at 80 MPGe or take it easy on the daily commute.
Forged 20” wheels. 510 hp. Bucket sport ventilated seats. Adaptive dampers. Improved aero. Etc. I had the first gen model 3 p, and it lacked in so many areas. But this seems much improved Why would anyone buy an i4 M50 over an eggshell? 1. HUD 2. Real gauge cluster in you face 3. Leather and full merino leather as an option 4. Fit and finish 5. Quality 6. Driving dynamics 7. Road noise 8. Real controls and not buttons 9. It's a BMW 10. It's not a Tesla I own an i4 M50 with full Tartufo leather and M sport seats and you couldn't give me a Tesla that I would not sell.

Its available as a check box in Canada ,so actually easy to get a US car with merino. The i4 M50 is also part of the individual paint program.
