Installation of new LCI headlights for pre LCI BMW M4 G82

Hi all,

I've a 2023 BMW M4C G82 with the normal LED headlights (non-laser). Now I've the opportunity to get a set with the new LCI headlights (with modules) for my pre LCI M4.

I would have the following questions:

a) I guess coding is needed, right? Can someone here do the coding after the installation of the new lights? (remotely, as I'm located in Germany)

b) Are the lights plug and play or do I need to consider something else for installation like I dont know do I have to pull new cables or something like that?

Thanks all in advance and I appreciate your replies. I did a lot of research in the www but couldn't find really helpful information. :-(

Thank you

BR

Hi everyone,

I would like to give a quick update for those who are interested.
I have replaced the LED headlights with the new LCI ones. The installation went smoothly. There were two of us and it took less than an hour.
kubax86 did the coding. What can I say? It took less than 20 minutes and the headlights started to light up. I would like to thank Kuba for his uncomplicated approach and great work and will be doing the CS coding soon.
Below are a two photos of before and after 😊

He sells the boards and other lighting mods and did this himself to the new lights. Had to open them up to change the boards however on the new ones.

Can the car still receive updates through RSUs after the retrofit, or does the retrofit introduce any issues?
