I was at the port for a month and just in transit yesterday. It’s just depends when your car reaches the port. There was a big gap for east coast ships but there are multiple ones going out this week and next week.

Yes, same here - got to port mid-April. what was your production date/week?

For all east-coast destinations, there are currently 4 ships in Bremerhaven that are likely getting loaded and leaving starting today. Not unusual to see a minimum of 2-3 weeks at port, although some have gotten lucky and got loaded fairly quickly.

For those West Coast bound, there are four ships that I know of next week:
  • Morning Lynn May 14 -> Jun 20
  • Dione Leader May 14 -> Jun 5
  • Graceful Leader May 15 -> Jun 7
  • Hercules Leader May 18 -> Jun 20

I called genius yesterday and they said average wait at port is running 4 weeks. There is backlog for Baltimore due to last months incident. I'm a Brunswick port car so they said that is running much quicker with not any backlog of cars. Looking at the schedules, multiple ships running over the next two weeks between most ports. Hopefully the backlog clears quickly for Baltimore bound vehicles.

I've been there a few weeks, and my car is going to Brunswick. Same with a few other posters here.

April was kinda light on ships mid-to-late month, so it is all about timing. The other folks in our build week got on a ship right away, and some received their cars already, but they spent less than a week at the port. Some of those went to Baltimore.

Right now seems like the best time to get on a ship, for sure.

It’s common to wait for a month but also Baltimore port had the accident so that may have been adding to the issue. I am aware that BMW unloads before the place where bridge collapsed but the RoRo has multiple brands on it so they probably had to make schedule adjustments.

Yep, a lot of it is luck with shipping schedules. Hopefully we are on the same boat shortly.

Been at the port since April 18th and headed to Brunswick. Hoping to be in transit by this Friday. I’m expecting a late May/early June delivery in ATL.

Yeah, this is by far the worst part.

Or maybe I should wait to claim that for when it’s at sea for a month+ 😜

I wish there was some insight into the port queue. Would be interesting to see how cars are scheduled etc and alleviate some constant checking of the tracker ha.

Still waiting. 4 weeks in port as of today. Guess the boats to Baltimore are full.

Change of status?

My 2024 M3 competition has been “in transit” for about 2 weeks after being “at the port” for about 4 weeks. A few days ago it reverted back to “at the port”. Has anyone else seen this and know why it would go back a step? Car shipping to Galveston.

It will switch back to “At the Port” once it reaches the destination port. Then it will go back to “In Transit” when it’s being shipped to the dealer. Sounds like you’re in the home stretch.

Sounds like you probably came in on the Hamburg Highway. Docked Tues and left Wednesday. Most of us from that boat are still sitting at the port ATM.
