Excellent choice! I loved following the JP videos on the development of that kit for the CSL.

I’ve seen a few of those videos. Should be a fun track car when all set and done.

Weighed the CSL today and was pleasantly surprised. Most of the weight reduction is from exhaust, about a light as you can get while retaining the stock titanium muffler. Other minor stuff that may have helped like Eventuri intake. Weighed with full tank - standard is 1/4 so about an extra 80lbs in fuel. Front right sits a bit high, will corner balance after more suspension mods.

I’m not surprised by that. EVO weighed the car in 2022 ECOTY and found it was 1640KG but had the 12KG heavier seats, so with a full tank was 1628KG. Of course it didn’t suit the narrative they were building, so they ignored the weight thing after doing it.

Finally got her PPF's and ceramic coated and ordered at set of BBS Fi-R Evo's from iND!! July/August delivery on the Fi-R's so looking forward to those. Also got the driver seat adjusted for me, so all good to go!

Crazy the attention this gets for people who know....

Will be interesting to see what the one on BAT goes for in a couple of days!

Cheers,

It’s time to get new set of tires. Wondering if anyone has tried going with Cup 2 instead of Cup 2R to get a little more tread wear? I only take the CSL when the street is dry and above 40 degrees. So I do drive often but not daily. Not much in difference in price but don’t want to be thinking about getting a new set after 2 weekend track sessions.

I have Cup 2s on mine instead of the Cup2R. I’d say the car feels better on the Cup2R but only very marginally and the Cup 2 is still awesome! Tons of grip, plenty of feel and more security if it’s wet. On track though, I’d probably want to change back to the Cup2R.

Hope that helps.

I personally decided to stick with the cup 2Rs for spring, summer and early fall. That is what the car was dialed in for. Going to the track early May (first time with this car - was not done with 1200 miles service last year) and then on a regular basis, so I will see how long they last.
I actually got another set of wheels with Michelin all season 4s for year round driving (except snow). I was considering PS4S but they are not as good when cold (less than 40 degrees) and I have the Cup 2 Rs for warmer weather.
Switching back to the Cup 2Rs next month. I might reconsider if they only last 2 or 3 sessions though. Will see…

Changed a few things on a friends CSL last week. We will run it tomorrow at LRP and see how it feels.
Still waiting on the KW V5 clubsport.
We will run the car on the stock wheels and tires on Cup 2R and 19” Apex with R7.

The car arrived with 600 miles.looks like it had a few track sessions on it already.

I didn’t bother getting alignment spec before taking it apart.

But I set it up:
Front:
-3.2 camber
0.08 toe in on each side.

Rear:
-2.1 camber
0.20 toe in on each side.

How’s the rear AP config as far as rattle goes on the street. Had this setup minus the ebrake thingy on my f80.

It had a rattle on front and rear and they sent me their anti rattle kit and it’s as quiet as stock.

Thank you for your post, are the mono balls fall line items as well ? Are the millway plates the ones with a plastic or metal top bearing ? How’s NVH?

Monoballs are fall line but any monoball setup will serve the purpose.
Will be doing a millway setup on a car next week and I like their setup since the bearing is sealed.

Street camber plates since the car will see some street driving. No NVH at all.
