Absolutely hilarious how when the Dark Horse first came out, the first guys who got their hands on them threw it on dynos and all got around 390whp. Laughable.

Cool video and story. The Mustang has always been heavy and inferior compared to most, if not all, M3/4 generations in terms of performance, not to mention design and comfort etc.
And while the Ford team may have gotten cute like pop music with the branding of Dark Horse, the meaning of which was plain to me but seems rather silly, the G8x still wins in my book for 3 reasons: 1) interior quality including the beautiful buckets and gorgeous iD8 screen and functionality and merino leather etc 2) the exterior beauty 3) the badge I’ll happily lose on a track or in the canyons while I drive my gorgeous base G80 manual. The comp x drive I had prior would destroy it. C&D has the DH at 5.0s 5-60, 4.1 0-60, 9.7 0-100, and 12.5 1/4. Put the same tires on the G8x and see what happens. Same measure C&D is 4.2/2.6/7.0/11.0. |
