I tighten my seats too, they do not move at all. Supposedly the protectors slide over time and make it seem like they are tight. Maybe it’s just a liability thing where seat manufacturers don’t want to take responsibility for poor installation caused by extra parts. Looks like diono makes one as well will try it out.

Used this in multiple cars. Within 48 hours of removing seat, all marks were gone.

As an aside, from some of the installs of seats in this thread; ya'll need to find a fire station a get your seats installed better. The rear / front facing seats (non-boosters) should be snugged HUGELY tight to they do not move at all. The seat cushion should be massively compressed. Looks like many of you barely have the seat indented. My apologies if pictures are not conveying it.

Basically, if you can reach in and move the seat at all, it's not tight enough.
