Yes, I guess not. Do you ever go to the BMW CCA meets near Panera on SMPkwy each month? I’ve been trying to catch site of a G80 at Baron but no luck thus far.

Which KC dealership has the better mechanics- Baron or Hendrick?

My understanding is that Baron has the more experienced mechanics as measured by length of time in the business. Not sure if that truly means better / more effective , but it’s where I take my E90 and took my E46 for the past 15 plus years.

just moved from tacoma to kc a few days ago, haven’t seen any other g8x on the road yet. but wow am i getting tailgated like crazy out here! thinking it may be the combo of m3 with washington plates? need to change that quickly.

Hello my friend; I'm not too sure about great drives around here, kinda depends on what you like to do. But if that driving desire is quick and curvy roads you moved to the wrong place. I'm thinking a trip to northern Arkansas .

Anyway, glad to have you in the area; what part of KC are you in? You are welcome to PM if you don't want to put much on here. I'm frequently around in my ZB M2 in the Lenexa area.

Oh, and yes, tailgating at high speed is an art form around here; as is the prodigious use of the middle finger.


And to Prossx, that BMW meet is first Saturday of every month at the Panera on SM Pkway, I think there may even be one on the 5th coming up. Let's bring some more M's.

Agree w/ KC87ZB on the roads, you’ll have to get creative for driving fun and NWA is pretty good and heading thru central/southern MO on the way. I’ll try to make the next meet up - out here in western Shawnee and don’t see a whole lot of M’s on the daily although there are a few F8x/G8x rolling around here.

my wife is originally from here and has friends and family mostly in the northland, so we have a temporary spot near maple woods until our home sells. probably going to settle in kansas when we purchase, likely near basehor.

took a drive this week and yes, long and straight is the name of the game here! loving it so far though! will see if i can make the next cars and coffee!

Let me know the date that everyone plans to bring their cars to the C&C on Shawnee Mission Parkway. I’m out in Shawnee and have a BG M3. Have seen a yellow M4 around but no one else.

The only decent road around that I’ve found is somewhat fun, at least it was on my motorcycles is Wolcott Rd (5) between US-73 in Leavenworth and 435 on the Kansas side.

Another somewhat scenic with a few small bends is Golden Rd outside DeSoto over to N 158th st and up to K-32. Again, nothing like NW Arkansas but pretty good for KC.

Definitely up for any ad hoc meets or grab a cup of coffee with anyone!
