I’ve heard around that 2 G80’s have ran into issues with the DW injectors claiming they failed on their car and caused serious motor damage. DW is pretty reputable and wouldn’t expect this. Anyone running Dw’s and came across any issues ? Would like to know before installing on my car lol.

was the issue ever identified? clogged injector? or did it die completely?

I just installed pi with 550 dw injectors. I’d love some more info on these failures and to grab a different manufacturer if this is happening

You Cant go wrong with IDX from injector dynamics but the smallest they have is 1050 which is pretty big unless your going for big turbo power.

I may go idx anyway just for the reliability even though they are bigger than what I need.

I'm not knocking DW at all for all we know there was an installation error and one cyl wasnt gettiing the proper fuel

I’m pretty sure it died completely this, It’s coming from a random source I met at a car meet just making thought i just ask around since i’m about to run it aswell. He also ran 1100cc which on a stock thrbo car is overkill which can cause inaccuracies in fuel spray.

What’s you’re reasoning for that? Just curious because debating if I should switch out these injectors or not on my PI kit i’m installing soon.

DW injectors to me have always been known as pretty iffy. Can't go wrong with ID!

we are running id1050, seems to work great stock turbo. I would stay with ID or FIC.

numerous issues with DW in tank pumps, throwing off fuel trims, not supporting ethanol, pumps getting damaged from E. this isnt new data, alot of the japanese car tuners tend to advise away from DW parts.

I had issues with my dw in tank pump, switched to aem and never looked back.

Thank you so much definitely going to sell these DW’s and not take the risk on it. If it isn’t too much to ask for if you could send me the link for tbe Id’s that would be great i see so many not sure which work with the car PI.

Are you running Motiv for port control ? Ecutek or BM3? Only asking because I'm on BM3 so will be making my own port map since they dont have integration....Its not the first time Ive had to do it but would be cool to get my hands on a base file for ID 1050's that I can tweak?

I was going to reach out to Jacob at Motiv and see if he has one.

I have mishimoto manifold/ fuel rail with FIC 1200 injectors running reflex. Car is a full bolt on car running e70.

We are struggling to get into a 5 second 60-130, I’m seeing guys doing 5.0 with my set up. I’m tuned by a very reputable g80 tuner.

Is there a chance that the injectors are too big and it’s causing the car to run worse ?

I ran ID1050x with Kratos EVOs on my F82 and will use the same ID1050x in the Mishi manifold on my G80 (still with Kratos).

What turbo(s) are you using?

1200cc is big stress on your lpfp if you're running just the factory pump.

Could be the limit on your tuning. What's the fuel pressure in a wot pull?
