No, but I'm usually against getting anything too big as they tend to be impractical where I am living. The capabilities of the truck are impressive, but I do think that it's a lot like an Apple premier event - lots of buzz around release, will gets lots of attention at the beginning and then the fad dies down. I don't see this being a collectable that ppl will drive past its intended lifecycle.
Btw... SO many ppl I know have put down a "deposit" for this truck... but then I found out the deposit was only $100. |

Strange post to make in the G8x section. Would figure I’d come across this kind of post in the X5 or X7 section. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It is one ugly truck. I prefer my Ram 1500!

My cybetruck Reservation number is in the low 4000 so I should be getting it fairly soon since deliveries finally began. Came from owning model 3 performance for 4 years to now dailying ‘24 base m4. Not prejudice against Tesla. They are good at what they do but of course one has to be ready for what one gets when buying it - an appliance, not an engaging sports car, no matter how quick it is 0-60.
I don’t tow - that would be a deal breaker for electric truck at this point. I do miss some aspects of owning an EV though. And will gladly sell my 16mpg Denali once cybertruck is parked on the driveway (cause it won’t fit in the garage) |

I'm sure it has its upsides, but it's ultimately a meme vehicle, as much a truck as a Honda Ridgeline...perhaps even less so.
I have an older Tundra and I'm good with it. The only truck I'd consider these days is a Hilux. |

Unless you’re planning on this for like 2027 I’m pretty sure you can slip another car in before there is a chance of your Cybertruck arriving.
Love the optimism |

Maybe but I'm primarily interested in opinions of people that own a G8X and would be considering the Cybertruck as a second or third vehicle.

Let’s set aside how terrible a person Elon is (I know, tough to do), this thing is hideous , like it was a concept designed in the same pit at a preschool. Now add in the fact that Elon/Tesla had so many problems bringing it to market that they had to cut corners so that they could even start fulfilling promises, the substandard build quality on existing models will look good in comparison.
No thank you. |
