Automatic seat movement when entering / exiting vehicle?

I’m not finding anything, but am surprised this isn’t an option if it isn’t. Is there a setting to have the driver’s seat move back when turning off the car to make re-entry easier and reduce wear on the side bolsters? Probably more of an issue with the coupe, but with the driving position in this M4, the seat is decently forward in normal driving position and a little more difficult to enter without rubbing the bolsters.

Our other cars do this, so I’d be surprised if it’s not an option here?

I tried searching first but honestly don’t know what it’s called. I thought ‘comfort entry’ but that’s not it.

Thank you!

Not a thing in the G8x. The closest you can get is programming a "comfort entry/exit" setting to position 2, using that when you get out. Not ideal but best we got.

Ok thank you. It’s something that could easily be coded in an update - I wonder if it’s just concern around premature seat motor wear? I’ll play with the idea you proposed and see if that does the trick.

Was something I could code into older models. Have not seen it work on current ones.

Maybe someone else has had better luck.

Also use the 1/2 button on entry & exit, but it was much nicer when it did it automatically. Genuine first world problem.

This is what I do. Especially with the buckets. I use 2 for full back and lean the back to prevent damage to the bulster on re-entry.

I thought tis too, but then again Kias come with the comfort access feature and they have a much better warranty than BMW so probably not.

I dont think there is no way to code it.

Last I remember, whatever "module" the F80 had with auto seat back, is not the same on the G80 or something like that. Meaning there is no way to program anything to it.

At least thats what I last remember hearing about this in the coding thread.

I despise this feature so I'd never use it myself, but preferences are the definition of subjective, and I'm surprised that it's not available for those that want it.
