No, not yet.
I've learned that some G82 (maybe the first model year?) at least have no grommet where other cars do - instead it is sealed shut. Some people have simply drilled through this part of the trunk anyways to allow for wires to pass, then fit their own grommet. Alternatively, there is a way to route wires farther on the trunk sides, though need to uncap the SST connectors to fit wires through the holes. Finally, SST does say it's an option to mount the controller entirely on the underbody, but this seems much less secure to me and I want to avoid any chance of rattle and vibrations. I won't go this route. I plan to try one of the above two options this weekend when I have some more time. Meanwhile, I have been driving with PSI midpipe and stock valve controls - I think this sounds worse and quieter than having valves open when in sport modes. So will def look to get SST installed. |

That’s exactly what I did on my 2024 g82, and it seems pretty well isolated from the elements. The 2024’s have a solid plastic grommet in the trunk, so I opted for the underbody installation.

I just installed mine on a 24 that solid weld you're not going through, I put it in the black box. I really just used one zip tie and put it all in the black box.
Mine came with no instructions from X-PH on the controller so I didn't really know how it worked but A seemed the loudest. Nice low rumble now. You're right the video's don't really capture. I showed it to my wife and she said you purposely made your car louder.....LOL now I am going to get one for her X5M. |

I most likely will go for this valve controller in the near future, but I agree that the remote isn’t the prettiest/best way of operation.
Which frequency band does the remote operate on? I do not have HomeLink, but would like to get a 12v socket remote to replace 1 or 2 of the ABCD buttons…

When the flap is closed on setting B, is this the same when you normally start up the car in comfort mode or mode C (serial) the stock mode?

C is the stock startup mode, don't use B under full throttle.

Isn't stock closed all the way on comfort mode, even when under full throttle?

i don't recommend you go full load/throttle with the valves forced closed. I've tested, datalogged and measured this and it had a much bigger negative impact on the car than i expected it would. |

It doesn't help since the valves are already closed upon startup. If you want a quieter startup you need a tune and disable the cold start cat warmup thingy.
