Picking mine up next weekend. A failed finance order opened it up and I bought off the floor a week ago. I’ve swapped my M2 CS for it.

Noooo! You got rid of the CS? I thought you had a Macan on order too?

I've got my Touring coming first half of 2024, but intending to keep my CS. I think you'll miss it.
Congrats on the Touring

Congrats on the Touring
First impressions is I’m not missing it. I can see myself getting one again as a third car (this time in manual) in the future.

I’m getting her wrapped and ceramic’d tomorrow and get her back next weekend. Pics to come.

For context - the macan GTS was for the wife. I enjoyed driving it too much so the touring stepped in.

Would love to photograph our cars together if the opportunity arises, very interesting to see a side-by-side comparison of steath PPF over BSM compared to stealth PPF over Frozen Black.

If you’re in Sydney I’d be very happy to. Only complication is it will need to be in the next few weekends as I’m in the US for 3 months from late August. If keen, pm me your details and I’ll get in touch. I also love car photography so this could be good

I'm about to order a M3 Touring tomorrow in Portamao Blue with black leather, blue brake calipers and blacked out wheels. I'm loving all the choices other members have made so far, it really is a striking car.

EDIT: I got to the dealer and changed my mind at the last minute. Ordered it in Isle of Man green with black calipers instead after seeing a reviewer in the UK on YouTube drive one. At least when people tell me I drive a gas guzzler I can protest and say I drive a green car!

A great choice. What about the interior colour. What did you go with?

Standard black. I wanted the silverstone grey/black combination but got overruled by my wife. We had an agreement she gets final say over anything that doesn’t compromise the performance of the car but I get to pick the car. But to be clear we both love Isle of Man green, no argument there at all.

Beautiful car - I'm very keen on ordering in a similar shade ... BMW make some excellent purple paints. May I ask what paint colour this one is please..?

Has a full car 8mm PPF and carbon graphene ceramic coating applied. My iPhone tends to make it look more jade than emerald green. It looks several shades darker when you see it in person.

Edit I had to oversaturate the colour and increase the contrast to get it looking more like it does to the naked eye.

Hi,
Have ordered and LCI G81, just wondering what the typical wait time has been for these to Australia, from build to delivery. I imagine I’ll get a July build but not sure if September delivery is being too optimistic.

The average time it takes the RORO vessel to wind it's way from Germany to the east coast of Australia is about 60 days plus or minus a couple depending on how many stops and the wait for canal transit etc...

I would expect at very least a 3 month wait from the time you get a VIN to the day the dealer hands you the keys, and I'd suggest 4 months is more realistic. If you select an individual colour the wait will be even longer while you wait for that production run to commence.

Good luck mate, it's a heck of a ride!

Thanks mate, still waiting for confirmation of my order with a production number, been told there’s a chance all July allocations are taken up by bmw Australia as corporate demos. I’m hoping I get a July build and get the car in October but I think December might be my reality.

I hate waiting hahaha

I got a 23 July build date so I guess I must have been lucky.
