Is Cabon Guards mud flap good?

I ordered mud guards from them almost 3 months ago. They have instagram, and their website looks well designed. Their customer service is responsive. Every time I asked them, they say "shipping out this week"... but never happened.

Anyone bought from them? Right now I am just waiting for it so that I can finish wheels, spacers, springs, and bumper mods all together. I am thinking just cancel that and move on to the other mods. What mud flaps do you guys have? TIA.

Everything I've read about them and any variation in their name "the carbon guards", "carbonguards", "theoriginalcarbonguards" is that the guy that runs the companies, John Perez, is a scammer.

I think you're better off disputing the charge with your cc company to get your money back.

Same. I ordered mine a couple months ago. Customer service said “will ship next week” .. has been almost 3 months. Need to file a dispute soon. Don’t even need them anymore since I got Tommy L Garage mud flaps and put them on alresdy.

Saw some people call them out on being scammers. Just did a quick google search and you could see people complaining on reddit.
I'd file a dispute for refund.

I've had no issues with them ordering early in the year and receiving within a reasonable time, ~ 3 weeks to ship. Installed and have been perfect on my car since. Just sharing experience and I'd order again based on that, however, I'm one to order things months in advance and wait. I understand if reasonable shipping expectation are not met or communicated if a delay.

I literally just ordered a set today then saw this thread and asked to cancel my order. They replied asking if I'd take a discount so they gave me 15% off, we'll see if they follow through...

After I saw this thread I called my CC company to dispute the charge. Literally an hour after talking to my cc company, I get a notification that a USPS label had been created and later in the afternoon that a shipment had been received by USPS set to arrive this Saturday.

Edit: I forgot to mention I placed an order back in March.

Just to provide a reference from my experience. Ordered mine back on 1/23 and they were delivered on 2/10. Within my expectations back then as the website lead time quoted 2-6 weeks on average from order placement.

These are much better quality than the Autoteknic guards which were "flappy and thin" and I didn't like them from the start. The Original Carbon Guards feel a bit more substantial than the Autoteknic. It has Lamin-X film on the carbon side and is textured on the other (tire side). The kit comes with front and rear guards, rivets, adhesive primer and brushes.

I'll post pics once I install.

So I ordered from Carbon Guards in early April (4/4) and I finally received my order about 2 weeks ago. They sent me the wrong shipment F80 instead of G80. I reached out to them via email, was told to reach to reach out via instagram and send pictures which I did. 3-4 hours later, it was determined that they screwed up and I kid you not, the person writing back to me said "lol" and I was like wtf is this type of place.

So they asked me to return the F80 Carbon Guards and they would send out the G80 one when they have a "new batch" and expect to have this by end of next week (5/12). Haven't gotten anything since and I wrote an email saying I am frustrated because it's been over 45 days and I still don't have the product I paid for and I was just going to dispute the charge if I don't receive them asap.

Got a bogus response back that they don't have an update yet and will once the label is created.

Don't do business with these guys.

I ordered mine from ban_m2c on the forum here. They arrived on time and although they are a little beat up now, I'm happy with them.

Add me to the list of folks that got scammed into paying over $200 for mud flaps by these idiots...I ordered mine in early March, sent them emails every week after I waited a month for my order, and like most here I got the "shipping in a few days" BS, after almost 3 months of waiting I asked for a refund and they flat out told me not gonna happen. So I just went back to PayPal (in my case), put in a claim and got my money back immediately.

Even though it looks like some got theirs, I would highly recommend you stay away from this company, they are full of shit.
