Debating keeping the bi-colors or swapping to the solid matte orbit grey Jahre edition wheels. Would they be too matchy matchy with the skyscraper paint?

Need to decide before my car gets ceramic coated because I only want to get one set of wheels coated and then sell the other.

Personally, I’d keep the Bi-Colors. The orbit grey is too similar to the body color.

The Jahre. Not matchy matchy. Suits the dark/grey color theme.

Leaning bi-color… makes them pop a little more and seem larger.. perhaps… very similar in the photos below.

Haha, yes, I’m torn between them. I’m open to selling either set and keeping the remaining one. I created a for sale listing for the orbit gray ones that you can check out.

My M3 is also Skyscraper Gray and while I absolutely love the color (looks much better than on pics IMHO), it's a bit tricky regarding the wheels. I don't really like the contrast with the stock wheels, which is why I struggeld with my wheel choice for a very long time. I have the bi-color 826M (summer) and the orbit gray 825M (winter) and I dislike the contrast with both of them. Particularly the bi-color 826M "disappointed" me because they are darker than they should be IMHO, under low light they look almost black. I ended up powdercoating the 826M in a lighter color.

As for your choice, I'm leaning slightly towards the bi-color version.

I started out with the black 826m wheels and did not like how they were lost in the color (Dravit). I bought the bi color wheels and although I like them better, they are darker than I thought. Also I'm sick of cleaning them and it doesn't take long before you see blemishes. I'm switching to another wheel and will most likely be a brushed bronze or polished wheel. Will never buy another wheel with any black in it.

Okay, I stand corrected. Both do look really good. Still stand with bi-color if you can only keep one, they pop more. Maybe keep one as a winter set and the other as a summer set?

I know, right?! Well it’s just a fair weather car for me.. so will only have summer tires on it. I guess I’ll essentially have both sets for sale and whatever sells first, I’ll keep the remaining set.

I don’t envy your decision! Haha. Tough call. I keep thinking about getting an extra set of black 826’s for mine cause I love the wheel design, but bi-color was my favorite and what I have, but cool to change it up time to time. And ya, fair weather here too. Can always keep the two-face theme going. 2 on one side and 2 on the other. Kidding.

But ya, that’s probably what’s going to be the final call.

I have Frozen Pure Grey II - which is like a Frozen Skyscraper and i've been on the hunt for the orbit grey 826m wheels - I may have posted on your thread on FB about your wheels too!

Looking at your side-by-side pics, I think the bi-colors look better on skyscraper, and I think I should keep the bi-colors on my car too!

I will take delivery of my SSG M3 soon, so this is something I've thought about. I went with the black wheels as I think they look more sporty and aggressive. However, if the orbit grey wheels were an option, I would have ticked that box. I definitely prefer them over the bi-color and I'd give them the edge over the black.
