Guys I need help… I submitted my build order with BMW of Plano in Texas in July of 2022. The salesperson told me to expect summer of 2023 delivery which I was fine waiting for my build. However now I get a text from the sales person saying:

“Hi, we only got one build for March and one for April on the competition xDrive. And BMW apparently made an announcement that the M car production will be decreasing this year to focus on the electric cars. So I really don’t know what the timing will be for your order now, if we get one a month it’ll be another year before we get it filled and we can’t really do anything to change how BMW is building the M3s unfortunately.”

Is this bullshit? What do I do? I live in Scottsdale should I just got to another dealership out here and see if they can get something faster and resubmit a build?? Please help.

It's taken this long and you still don't have an allocation? Why BMW Plano since you live out here?

I know it’s unbelievable. I’m going to go to bmw north Scottsdale tomorrow. Reason why I did BMW Plano was because I thought I was going to be moved out there but ended up staying in Az.

Did you put a deposit down with them? The only thing I can think of is that they don't think your a serious buyer (because you're out of state) so they're bumping you in line constantly as in state buyers place orders.

Ask for Kyle Boylan. He is a no bullshit guy. Tell him the guy who just bought the black on orange manual M4 sent you. Last time I checked the waitlist for the M3 was long but the M4 was shorter. He’ll tell you exactly where you’d end up on the list.

So funny thing is. I guess bmw of Plano does not do deposits lol. I asked if I could put $5k down to speed the process up but was told no

Scott Bilgo over at north Scottsdale just sent me an email yesterday asking if I was still interested in an allocation. I hadn’t responded yet, but if my slot is available you can snag it. I’m passing till the LCI comes out and the economy isn’t so bat shit.
