Don't do ETA's. Never end well (for me). Engine cover is pretty much gauranteed to be released before the brace though and is simply waiting on ample release quantities to arrive. Braces have a much more elaborate story behind them and a few more hurdles to cross so will likely lag behind a bit.

No difference. G80/G82 base and competition all use identical factory part numbered exhausts.

Couple things:

- Should have included an indexing pin for the tips (something manufacturers don't seem to think about for zero reason and is quite an annoyance to precisely equally rotate the tips).
- Should have created the axle-back and midpipe to fit most midpipes on the market, as the interplay would have been a huge selling point. Your instructions say to cut at the middle dimples on either side, but a majority of midpipes (Valvetronic, Active Autowerke, Eisenmann, MAD) use the 1st dimple on driver's side and 2nd dimple on passenger's side.

I would have purchased this axle-back if the second point was true, since I was planning to pick up AA's equal length midpipe.

Looks oddly similar to AWE痴 setup. Keeps the stock emissions in place, I知 sure it値l sound amazing. But, same fear as removing the emission lowers or catless DP, it will probably drone and be obnoxious.

i was hoping for removal of the secondary cats and no cutting. simple bolt on setup... for those of us that wants this, will you make an extended version of the midpipe?

No, as that would require removing the secondary cats and ultimately lead to hefty fines for violating emissions requirements. As a public company that would be bad. Very bad.

A lot of manufacturers/distributors are able to bypass this by selling the product as "track-only" and requires you to sign a waiver.

Private entities can do whatever measures they want to, but again that is not an avenue our board, and ultimately our investors/stockholders, wish to mess with for a host of different reasons that I will not get into on a public forum. The fact is the larger the company, the more reason to be leary as the fines involved can easily cripple the business. Doesn't mean we necessarily like it -- its just the rules we need to play by. That said, Dinan has always been about emissions legality (30+ years of EO's) so it's not a new position for us either.

Anyone who makes a single midpipe. Us included should be using the factory cut points the same as dinan does for their axle back. This 100% will mate to our single midpipe. Looking forward to getting one of these systems for our g80 to make some videos.

There痴 three factory cut points on either side marked by a set of dimples. Most use what I explained. Perhaps it might mate? At that point you池e just hoping the pipe clamp is long enough.

That's what I'm trying to decipher as well. The single mid look to cut the front of car dimple on the driver side and the mid dimple on the passenger.
This exhaust if mated to the factory center section would cut the mid dimple on both sides.

I feel like this exhaust wouldn't reach an aftermarket center mid pipe by about one dimple length.

A clamp would need to span that distance.

Can anyone actually confirm a fitment this way, I would lean to speculate that it DOESN'T fit rather than Fits, but I wouldn't know til I tried.

I値l let you know Friday. Having the axle back fitted. Currently have a full TFL system and my biggest worry is where the two will join and if one is shorter than the other.

Yes. Already is emissions legal by nature. Does not alter/remove cats so therefore does not require CARB/emissions testing.

Just mounted the dinan axle back to my existing TFL system. Thankfully it fits. The link is tapered and slips in to the exiting pipe so for those out there with just a mid pipe this should fit. Fitment was good but issues with tightening the outer tips proved difficult. Had to mount, then mark where to titghten, then drop the exhaust a little to make room to tighten. It actually took longer to mount the axle back than my original system all together! Lol other than that I like it so far. Has a deeper tone but I値l get more time in the car this weekend.

As for the silver tips, I知 on the fence. They池e definitely shiny and the reason I went with silver was to match the wheels coming in a few months. But who knows I may just get the black ones later.

A few pics and some revs in sport+

Looks good! Do you have a video with the midpipe only and stock muffler?

If anyone has a video of the stock muffler paired with the X Pipe and catless downpipes, please post! I feel like this will be the perfect exhaust setup.
