Suspension Wear with Springs?
I am looking into lowering for the a car for the first time on my M3. I am wondering how long other suspension components will last with an after market sport spring before needing to replace or go to coil overs. Any advice greatly appreciated!

The only time I’ve had a suspension part fail was when a shop stuck an impact on a shock mount to tighten it instead of tightening it per instructions and using an Allen key to keep the shock from spinning. Otherwise I’ve driven my cars for years on modified suspensions with no issues. I’m sure it wears faster than normal, but I’ve also never slammed my cars, either. I would bet most of the very few issues seen here are from improper install or slamming the car all the way down and the shocks giving out from that.

You have a choice of lowering springs or HAS (Height Adjustable Springs). Even BMW offers their own HAS, it's nothing to be overly concerned about.

I have ran springs on cars for years even some making 800+hp and never had a component fail. You will be fine if something fails it wasn't installed properly lol. Currently we have a G80 with a KW HAS kit and has been nothing but a dream like riding on a cloud.
