I’d say the exact same if it was a Tesla service operations manager, that’s interesting that they’d be a forum member of Bimmerpost. Maybe Rivian doesn’t have the same culture as Tesla, yet.

But their user base is pretty rabid about how much BMW sucks.

I explored positions at Rivian about a year and a half ago, didn't end up applying back then but would be open to it again now.

The Rivian R1T does 0-60 in 3.0 seconds. That's on par with the G8X Competition xDrive models if not faster, and it weighs literally twice as much. Interiors are super nice, although the style can be subjective, and there is a ton of well thought out design elements for storage and lifestyle solutions.

IMO it beats the crap out of a Tesla, and I'd love to have one in the garage next to my M4. My friend's got one and absolutely loves it, and he's had everything from BMWs to classic '60s muscle cars too.

Don't confuse random internet dwellers with general population opinions. For me the only open question on Rivian is longevity and service support - if you crash, get rear ended, anything goes wrong, etc are you going to be out of a vehicle for months at a time? Or can they learn from Tesla's woes and build a robust service and support network?

I got back into golf last March after a nearly 10 year hiatus, and now I am totally obsessed again. Fortunate to be able to play at my cousin’s club pretty much anytime while he’s here (FL) till May, but I will look to join a club of my own soon.

But they may get one for free. Or at least a company car/ truck, to drive. And I agree, they need something else. I have zero use for a truck or an SUV, unless it’s an Urus.
