Aftermarket M3 Ducktail spoiler?

Apologies if this was discussed already - search function is wonky nor did I find anything.

Anyways, wondering if anyone had recommendations, thoughts, feelings, past experiences on an aftermarket ducktail spoiler for their M3?

I found a few online, but seems like R44 makes some of the higher quality ones here: https://r44performance.co.uk/collect...g-carbon-fibre

Has anyone installed it? How do you like it? How's the installation? etc etc

Thank you.

Denada. I've been following these fairly close because I've been debating this for a while as well.

Cheers

Put mine on from R44 yesterday and absolutely love it. Quality is exceptional and it was a breeze to install. Package comes with adhesive promoter and super easy to do if you follow the instructions. Clean the area first, wipe with isopropyl alcohol to remove any small dirt or debris, let dry snd apply the spoiler. I prefer using blue painters tape on the corners and center of the spoiler after it’s test fitted. This allows you to simply peel off the red adhesive backing and roll the spoiler precisely into place. Works like a charm and heres some pics.

Looks great! Thanks for sharing. I like that it gives the car a bit more presence without looking ricey. Love the rear view of this car, but it can definitely be a bit understated stock.

How was the removal of the OEM one? Were you able to sell it or are you holding onto it?

Removal of the oem spoiler was pretty easy. Heated up using a heat gun and used a plastic pry tool with a towel to remove the spoiler. You then have to get all of the old adhesive off with either a grime remover or a power tool. I used a Dremel with a soft polishing tip to quickly wipe away the left over adhesive. Piece of cake….

Spoiler came originally in about a week. Unfortunately I was shipped the wrong spoiler by mistake and had to contact R44 for the right one. Their customer service is spot on and I was super impressed. They got me the correct spoiler as soon as it was in stock and shipped in the same box as the front lip that I ordered around the same time. Highly recommend. FYI spoiler and front lip combo is amazing.

Also sold the oem spoiler here on this forum for $300. In the classifieds.

@BMWEM3 just out of curiosity, have you ever replaced a spoiler on a previous car? Just wondering the longevity of these types of mods and how they hold up. I love the look of this spoiler but have had an internal debate on whether I want to change much from the OEM parts on my new $90k car

In my experience, so long as your purchasing quality carbon fiber products, they definitely hold up. I added a lot of carbon parts on my F80 M3 and they were solid up until I sold the car (had it for about 4 years). R44 and similar top brands do a great job and their products last. You can also ceramic or PPF your products for even greater longevity but I don’t think it’s necessary. In the unlikely event a product gets damaged or worn down, they are relatively cheap to replace and makes the car good as new again. 10/10 highly recommend the bang it makes on the aesthetics of your car Vs any theoretical drawback.

Got mine from R44 and had it installed yesterday. It's epic! You won't be disappointed.

This is probably an odd request but do either of you guys have a car page on IG?

Kind of want to see it from different angles.
