The opening below the grill needs to be inverted, it's upside down in this pic for an M2.

If it looks like this, big win. Based on the way the G8x drives, I'd get out of the F87 while the market's hot.

M2 is now the "M3" of the lineup for enthusiasts and they will not f**k it up.

You know. Remember a few years ago they came out with those new 2002 concepts. IIRC, a Jeager version, a 2002 Turbo version came out.

This has a sharp resemblance to those. They were good looking. I only have one photo saved.

Zero chance present BMW design goes with this.

Looks like a BRZ to me anyway.

Nah, they're speaking pretty definitively in the article. The Autocar render is the direction.

Makes the F87 look quite old.

What everyone should be excited about are the new M driving dynamics. If this car drives like a small G8x, this will collect many CotY awards. At ~$65k, it'll be an amazing way to cap the ICE generation for enthusiasts.

The rear slope and position of the trunk spoiler makes it look like a Porsche, doubt it'll look anywhere near this good.

Damn. If it looks like that, take my money now.

Don't care if it looks like a z4+brz+TT love child. It's leaps and bounds better looking than the g80 m3.

Really is a gorgeous render and if this is the direction they're going sign me up for an allocation. But why do I feel the front end styling is going to take cues from those recent X3M and X4M releases?! Figures....BMW won't throw the M3/M4 grilles on it, but they'll ruin it somewhere else on the front to make up for it.
