That would be terrible. That's what the kids want though. Eyes on the screen.

If it's the screen and tail light refresh that is a-okay with me. I like the taillights on the G82 now, but if they have nicer ones then I will get them as an upgrade. I, personally, am not a fan of that MB style long screen in the car.

The M2 CS sold out pretty quickly at a $20-25K premium to the M2C. The biggest factors will be if it will truly be offered with a 6MT and if they redesign the polarizing grille/hood. Edit: And it would be nice if they can drop 100lbs or so. |

The price issue and limited numbers meant very few people got to experience and understand just how great the CS was and how superior to the other models it was. Same goes for the M2 CS. Any CS or CSL they release will be no latest greatest novelty upgrade I assure you. It's the one to wait for.

SIAP: Motor1 article on CS/CSL mentions 6MT
Pretty happy if this is true, although the article is about the M4, I am hoping the same would apply to the M3. I know this is just a rumor, but that would be epic if a lighter CS was available with 6MT/RWD.

That's what I figured, it does not look like one. Thanks for confirming.

Unfortunately that was the single most predictable thing about the G80 lifecycle.
M's decision to co-launch the G80 with the G82 meant first year buyers would once again be relegated to pre-LCI history within a year given the G20 donor car was already a few years old at M3 launch. When it happened to my F80 year 1 model and the year 2 LCI model's price also dropped to rub salt into the wounds (causing an instant depreciation hit) I complained to BMW Aus and got an extended warranty. |

G8x CS variants shouldn't come until after the M4 CSL; doesn't prevent special/limited edition models before that however.

The M3C however isn't perceived as dumbed down version of the car with the CS being the cars true form. |

LCI already?
Never seen this before, last M3 LCI came after a few years. Is this because BMW already delayed launching the G series M3 to the point that they have to now jump straight to an LCI G series M3? Are there exterior updates expected?

Just the rear. The F80 had an LCI 2.0 when the 4 series (with which it shares its front fascia) get a refresh.

Hmmm most recent spy shots if other G8x models showed the grills but this one isn’t. What’s the likelihood of some sort of refresh for the grills?
