What can compete with the AWD M3?
I'm not a tuner nor do I buy these vehicles for straight line speed. Much faster options for that.

What is faster than this in a straight line for the price when tuned? $80k AWD car + $10k in tuning mods= unbelievable numbers. You'd need to spend at least $160k to get close.

Dodge Demon Tuned GTR Used Tesla Model S Plenty of other tuned cars if we are comparing that realm. BMW has done well with the G8X. The design is bold if that's what you are looking for. I think the brand will gain a lot of new buyers with this lineup. |

Even the RWD M4 will be faster than C8, and American "muscle cars" are rarely able to put the power down in real world conditions. Just look at the difference between the two compared to Carrera 911! From 100-200 km/h the M4 is significantly faster, and with AWD BMW will demolish the C8 from a dig! I also think that tuned AWD M4 is going to be a beast simply by looking what heavier M5/8 can do. |

And if we are talking mods, you can get a bolt on supercharger for the C8 for $12K in the states good for another 200HP. I'm not a C8 guy, just posting some other bang for the buck modded options. Yes, I agree most of that list I had is in the same ballpark or a bit higher than a tuned M4 price wise, again in the US. I'd lean towards the G80 M3 over the M4 and I'd take it over all the cars I listed. Just providing a counterpoint. |

All high 10s I have seen were on a drag strip and drag radials, and on normal surface with street tires, for most of the time the C8 was nowhere near that figure, but as you say, 0-60 in 3,1 sec is seriously quick time and it's certainly possible. Here we have Matt launching the C8 and M4 (on a different day though) just for a fun: M4 also has higher trap speed, and with AWD I simply can't see C8 being able to keep up with the M4 in 99 out of 100 times on the standard surface. But I will keep my final judgement for the actual drag race between the two, who knows, maybe I'm wrong |

Yeah, I'm not saying the C8 will definitely win, but demolish is a strong word. BMW definitely has stepped up their straight line speed game.

The RS3 tuned will give it a good run. For the money the RS3 is hard to beat, hybrid turbo and rods get's you mid 9s. Full frame turbo and you can get into the 8s.

It's a bad ass little Audi then when tuned, can be pretty quick. Don't be to confident when you get your new AWD G-80 when you see them on the streets. You may get smoked. LOL

The RS3 has all the same issues the other RS Audi's have: lack of engagement. Point and shoot cars. |

I would guess the only Audi match for G8X AWD is really an R8 although the V10 would be faster at the track. Other brands would be 992 or 991.2 GTS 4 or used 911 Turbos. GTR obviously fits in here but yuck IMO.
The xDrive G8X will be a unique vehicle. |

Yeah, now they are as fast as a 2012 GTR, LOL. This is my biggest gripe with the new model. I was hoping the new ones would be a game changer. ( Maybe I over hyped in my head ) Most people will say the car is made for the turns and blah blah. Then every other thread is look how fast it Qrt's. I get a bunch of flak for the GTR is ugly and so on. I don't disagree. I at least hope the AWD ones hit low 11's or maybe even 11 flat. That's what the GTR's were in 2012!! 10 years later, your getting the same performance Porsche seems to be the only one making shit right anymore Anyone out there build my F82 into AWD? LOL!!!

The 2012 GTR had a base price of just over $90,000 ... in 2012. (For context, the 2012 M3 Coupe's base price was $62,075.) At approximately $77k base MSRP and with sky-high tuning potential, the 2022 G80 AWD will absolutely retake the crown as the real performance bargain. The cheapest GTR you can buy today is $113k. |

In a couple of months, you can buy the 2022 G80 AWD with similar pace both in a straight line and through the curves and with BMW quality and ownership experience for $35k less than the Nissan. Not sure where the let down is. |

Not even the latest GTR competes strongly against the old GTR… Also, the fact that you get GTR performance out of a "normal" car (ie one where the diff oil isn't $400 a quart) is an amazing accomplishment. If the response to this is "yeah well but tuned GTRs are way faster" then the only possible solution is to wait, since we don't know for sure what tuning will do to the XDrive car. |
