Found this short clip on YouTube, and frozen brilliant white is looking really good here, especially with the wheel combo. Makes me want to bite the bullet and get the frozen paint!

I also just saw the G80 and G82 in person yesterday, and think most have already said, it looks much better in person. Just looking at the camera screen when taking pics I’m thinking “wth, why does it look so bad on camera “ , it’s definitely not photogenic. I’m personally really digging the frozen colors. Frozen looks so much better than traditional gloss finish.

Saw today that my local dealer had a new frozen BW over YMB M4 comp. went to check it out...ended up trading my 330i lease for it. This will be my first M car so I'm super excited. Will post more pics later when it's not dark and rainy.

Here's a couple of crappy iPhone pics. The matte finish looks much better in real life than in pictures. I'll try to post better ones when I get the chance!

Official FROZEN BRILLIANT WHITE G8x Thread
Hey all, it's been a while since I've frequented this site. My last M car was an '11 E90 M, sold that about 5 years ago.... and well, I've missed the character and enjoyment of owning an M3.
Was interested in a few different cars around the country, but just couldn't make my mind up on what color I wanted. I stumbled upon this M3 at a nearby dealer and immediately fell in love with it's unique spec. I was never a big fan of the Frozen colors, but this was the first time I saw it in person. Same goes for the interior, in pictures: NOPE... but man, the exterior/interior theme really tugged at my heart - it also helped that the wife and kids LOVED it. Has a bit more options than I'd like... all the savvy tech for parking, traffic jam stuff, some Harry Potter wizardry control, and a bunch of other gadgets I probably won't ever use. But overall very happy with the build. My last car was a 6MT, but I gotta say, loving the 8 spd. Different dynamic, but it's been fun. Anyways, on to some pictures! First one is my last M... she was perfect; Alpine White, Fox Red, 6MT... The G80... |

Saw a brand new Frozen White on the road today. Holy crap did it look good. If I had any kind of appetite to having a matte paint, I definitely would have gone this route. All the black pieces really popped and the black 826M wheels looked fantastic.

So you got that one! I’m in RVA and saw that one listed at Checkered. I had almost the exact same build but 6sp. Sadly, I just cancelled the order with my dealer
8 weeks with no allocation in sight. Enjoy the beast, hope to see you around! Last edited by 35mphgolf; 05-05-2021 at 07:34 AM.. |

I'm not a fan of frozen colors but dare I say frozen white looks better on this car than the gloss white as it plays off the gloss black trim and CF roof really well.

Saw the frozen white today in person at the dealership... absolutely stunning. I originally was going for the Portimao blue, but after seeing this, I think it's worth the $3600. Definitely requires the exterior carbon fiber packages IMO, and black calipers. Do you guys know if getting this color will increase the delay on the production at all?

Bummer on the allocation Are you just going to find one on a floor somewhere? Or find a dealer with an allocation? Before I looked at this one, I was talking to someone at Richmond BMW about the 6MT M3 they had. Came very close to grabbing that one, but just wasn’t a fan of Brooklyn Grey. |

I did try looking for about 4 weeks straight. I haven’t found a 6sp close enough to the specs I want. With the global delays in parts and a new gen M3 and AWD production gearing up, I just gave up and went back to a soft spot, the Golf R. I found a stock 2019 Violet Touch Pearl 6sp with less than 4k miles and $7k worth of PPF and other protection. Gonna sit with the R for the time being. I’m coming from an i3S and wanted to get back into a manual. We’ll see what the future holds. I did test drive a M550i and was blown away. Didn’t know something so big and so comfortable could perform at those levels. So that threw a wrench in my “how bad do you want a manual” plan. Time will tell. And I tend to keep BMWs longer than any other maker so I may be back soon. Hope to see you around |

Absolutely beautiful, I LOVE the contrast between the white and the carbon fiber materials. I'm settled on the frozen white exterior and KO interior now, with the M carbon exterior package and black calipers. Just need to wait for the M3 xDrive allocations.

Stunning car. What's your care routine? Do you park it inside or outside. I have a frozen brilliant white 740i. The color is definitely one of bmw's best color options at the moment.

My technique is LOTS of foam with a foam cannon along with Dr Beasley’s products. I let the foam dwell for quite some time, then follow with a good pressure washing. This helps with getting the paint really clean without having to work a mitt over the paint too much.
My car is 50/50 outside or garaged. I will say, even after being ceramic coated, Frozen paint likes to attract lots of dirt. Thankfully it’s hard to tell on a white car. |
