Nice! Keep the ball rolling!

Need more performance parts from all different companies!

Wonder if they're going to be lazy like they were for their S58 F97/98 intake?

Nice, but there's no real engineering here. Unless it creates any documented performance improvement, which it will be marketed as such, but won't actually create, that may as well just be a laser pointer pointed at the engine bay. Without question, the non-recurring "engineering" costs will be recovered via $2500 price tag to the consumer. But, it will look so pretty!

Just consider these intakes as engine dress up for those who also do those fun bolts with the colored washers and regularly clean/shine their engine bays. To each their own right?
I ran an intake when I first got my F82, and after realizing I derived absolutely no performance benefit decided to sell it and utilize that money elsewhere on the car.

Assume there are charcoal filters inside the box somewhere? Has anyone taken them out yet?

Only US cars right?

Bet you they run more than $2500, just for noise and aesthetics and minimal (if any) performance gain.

The engine bay could use alittle dress up. I wish the braces were carbon like the F80. Looks alittle plain to me.

Their F97/98 intake is a $1500 kit that reuses the stock air box. It's stock replacement panel filters, a flat boring carbon air box cover and two air guides. Marginal if any performance gain. They don't even quote a hp increase.

Does the G80 airbox look similar to the F97 one? I thought it was totally different. This looks much more like S55.

Air intakes are a triggery subject. At their absolute best, they simply increase noise and may increase throttle response to a near imperceptible level. At their worst, they cause all kinds of issues with MAF and other sensors, require costly filters or actually use oil which is beyond dumb, and cost a ton of money. So when a company "engineers" a couple tubes with a conical filter on the end, touts hp gains, and charges 2 grand for it, you are going to have some snarky comments.

FWIW I think they look absolutely beautiful and will leave it at that.

Eventuri is the best in the game ... due to the vast difference between intake setups from the F97 I'd expect them to creat something a bit like the F90 set up..

I had the Eventuri on my F90 and I'd say with stock tune software I saw maybe 5-10whp added and better throttle response. Once the car was tuned it was more like 25-30whp due to increase of boost and less restriction.

Personally the intake noise coming from front end sounded great. I'm not a little Beamer boy who wants the front mount intake making my car sound like a civic with blowoff valve LOL.

They are the best in the game. Keep negativity to yourself.

That is true. They do look nice though and the content they provide is pretty darn cool.

Minuscule performance gain, an increase in induction sound and a little bit of carbon under the hood which does look pretty (if you ever open it). Having to pay $2500 is excessive, however.

Meh. People spend more on less or on lips that crack after a few driveways.

Just think what the junior service tech changing your oil at the dealer will think seeing $2500 worth of carbon. It's for them.

I stopped watching when he said: "we can immediately improve it by providing the same pipe diameter on both sides". I would assume that BMW M engineering would have figured that out themselves. The extra 10 cent it would cost on plastic will not be the reason BMW abjured from "suboptimizing".

How come no one gets their panties in a bunch about exhaust systems which provide just as much gains in power?

I'm happy to see people tired of the M3 tax. You can buy these for $200 wholesale in China. A $1500 price point is a bit excessive.
